Very nice microscope. Good optics, solid construction, mostly made from metal. Did not come with the set screw or screwdriver for the eyepiece. Not really a problem, I will call AmScope tomorrow. Came with 3 batteries, however (which was not expected from the description -have not used the batteries, I just use the power plug), Very nice course and fine adjustments. Everything works well, and it is easy to use. One thing though. The users manual has to be downloaded from the internet. It did not describe the different positions of the on and off switch. The thing with the switch that is not described is that it is a 3 position switch. The middle position is the off position. The left hand position is for the bottom light. The right hand position is for the top light. Took me a little while to figure this out. No matter if you use the bottom or top light, the dimmer control will work with either light, which is a nice feature. Really quite satisfied with this microscope. It is a great product at a great price!!

The piece that jouns the upper part to the main body (the one that can be rotated for sharing what you see with others) feel our of the microscope upon removing it from the case. I screw it in and has been working perfectly so far. I would buy it again, however, as it is a good value.
