LG Livart H-B800 Humidifier, Mini, Orange

What it is: a compact humidifier with adjustable output that uses a 500ml plastic bottle as reservoir.How it is: Great. "Night light" is too weak to be effective, though; at best it's an accent light.. Comes with a bottle cap that you put over the plastic bottle for ease of use. Very small, but not as small as, say, Air-O-Swiss travel humidifier (while it does come with a compact AC adapter, as it doesn't come with a travel case or anything and is about the size of 3 3.5" hard drives stacked together, I kind of don't want to take it to travels like the description suggests that I can), which actually aids in stability. The mist outlet is rather small--does the job, and CAN swivel, but really, really rather would like to be left alone. Plethora of Korean on documentation and box suggest that, maybe, just maybe, this was just an import as a second thought. Pretty quiet and unobtrusive--don't expect total silence, though; this is a humidifier, after all.Of note: It says you should really use 500ml water bottle, but 20oz bottle works fine. You can go even bigger, but you'll probably tip over the thing and have a bad time. Expect about 8 hours of runtime when running at high with 500ml of water. Top cover comes off more easily than you'd think--be careful or water will splatter all over. This is a compact machine; it'll work best in a small setting, like an office cubicle or a small room, so set your expectations accordingly. Don't use tap water; use distilled or filtered water, and clean regularly. I feel that not doing so leads to people having a bad time with any humidifier--not just this one. Care for your machines, and they'll care for you.Conclusion: Well built humidifier, suitable for light duty.Update (12/16/2014):Sorry guys. It crapped out in less than a year. Okay, not quite crapped out, but it did stop working for now.There seems to be an issue of water splashing down to the circuit board when turned on at full throttle, causing it to short out.It works again when it dries up; you're playing a gamble if you run this at more than half capacity, though, I feel.Dropping down the rating to reflect the fault.

I actually quite liked this humidifier when I first bought it, but it stopped working after about 6 months. It would turn on, but no vapor would be produced. I cleaned it thoroughly (more than once), but could never get it to work again. Oh, well.

Day 1: The product worked great. It was quiet and put out at very good mist. The mist was adjustable which made it even better. Run time was 6 hours on filtered water.Day 2: Pretty much the same as day 1 but this time with distilled water. Run time about 5 hours. I am considering buying a second one but decided to test the a full week first.Day 3: The unit started to sputter at the low and mid settings and the red empty light came on intermittenly. When I turned the adjustment all the way on it worked but only at full mist.Day 4: Full mist did not work. Only the red empty light and the unit is full of water. It was great while it lasted. I do not think I will buy another one. :-(

Worked well while it lasted. I accidentally bought two and gifted the other. I previously had another mini humidifier from another brand which broke down faster than this one. One day it just stopped working, no steam. The water overloaded into the inside part of the machine. I freaked out and immediately unplugged it dried it and tried again but same thing. This is a fire hazard.I owned the larger models which worked just fine for years. Too bad no one is able to successfully make these smaller water bottle ones well.

I needed a new humidifier at work and this is easy to fill, easy to clean and provides a nice cool mist. It is so small, that I can keep it near me on my desk.

This product worked for about 2 minutes. Very poor quality. Save your money and look for another travel humidifier, this one just isn't very good.

Works well but don't use distilled water or won;t work as I found out.

Product was not well made. Part that attached to bottle after a few uses shattered.
