Western Digital WD3200AAJS 320GB Hard Drive

This low cost drive works just as advertised. I bought this for a friend whose Hard Drive had died. After installing this drive in thier tower PC I was able to install Windows without one issue and after all the Windows updates and software was installed it works quite well. I have always trusted and preferred Western Digital Drives over all other brands when buying tradition Hard Drives (not Solid State) and again this purchase was not a disappointed. I will continue to buy Western Digital Drives whether they are entry level such as the Blue Series or the enthusiast type such as the Black Series. I have been solely purchasing Western Digital Drives for over 15 years and have never had any issues with them. Over the years the one thing I must say is that they are much quieter than when I first starting to use them. You just can't go wrong with the Blue Series all the way up to their high end series the Black drives.

I'm very happy with this drive. It was nicely packaged and delivered well before the ship date. Runs like a champ with zero issues. If you need a cheap drive in a pinch this is your cherry. High marks to the seller for prompt and efficient service. NOTE TO GWTECHPARTS- In this economic climate most customers are going to read reviews about your company prior to making any purchase. When you leave the type of feedback about your customers that Ive seen. It makes you look vindictive, petty and unprofessional. If not for the extremely low price i would have gone elsewhere.

Ordered two of these drives, both to replace customer drives that failed. Drives were delivered when promised and both functioned normally. I would buy these again.

I don't store everything on the hard drive because they are subject to mechanical failure but I have not had one of these fail me yet and 320 GB is more than enough. These run quiet in all my machines that have these drives in them (5). Performance is as good as any other mechanical drive I have used. Highly recommended. You can get Acronis True Image software free on the Western Digital support site which makes it easy to clone your HDD or migrate data.

I should have listen to the old saying, "If the price looks too good to be true, then it is!" First sign of a problem, the drive was shipped in three bubble pack envelopes. Not in a box, no foam padding, just the three envelopes. I guess that's what they mean by "single pack bulk." Anyway, being an optimist, I went ahead and installed the drive. I started the computer and soon learned it won't mount. Listening carefully, I can barely hear the drive spinning, but the heads are not actuating. I tried just about every diagnostic software I have to get the drive to mount but to no avail. I removed the drive and compared it to other Western Digital Drives I have and immediately noticed some minor differences. I strongly suspect this is a refurbished drive ... which is not mentioned in their advertisement. Given the conditions for sending this back, it is just not worth it.

With the size of memory cards I keep by photos , etc. on cards and not on the HDD. HDDs do goo bad (!) and having all the data on single storage unit never has seemed like a great idea to me. These HDDs were a bargain and worked out well.

I don't write reviews often because of my bad grammar mostly but I saw all the hate this product has got. I've had this for 6 months I built my first computer and put this in it. It works great I've had no problems I didn't almost cut my self this product dose what it needs to do and handles very well.

the Drive is probably fine. problem is that the cloning software provided by Western Digital did not recognize either this drive or the drive I was replacing as a WD hard drive so it would not clone the data. That needs to be fixed.

Die Festplatte wurde laut WD Label 2009 gebaut und hat eine Garantie bis 2013. Es sind außerdem Gebrauchsspuren an der Festplatte zu sehen. Der Kernschrott geht umgehend zurück. Wer versucht gebraucht als neu anzudrehen ist ABSOLUT UNSERIÖS!

I bought this after the hard drive in my Humax digital recorder failed and the only advice Humax customer services gave me was to take it to a repair shop or buy a new machine (Useless advice-shame on you Humax). It's easy to remove the old hard drive and replace it with this one. The machine recognised it at once and it was up and running within a couple of minutes. The Western Digital hard drive has performed flawlessly ever since and was much less expensive than any other similar hard drive. Recommended.
