Filofax 2015 A5 Organizer, The Original Retro Brown (C022442-15)

Yes, it has a great Leather smell right when opened for the first time. Unlike those Midoris..ehk.Love it's size, although too much when I'm carrying around all my Mommy stuff with children. Am considering the Personal? for those Mommy outings. For now I use the Midori, Other than that again love it. Enough room for everything one might need. You will need an Envelope and/or Zippered pocket system as there arent many pocket slots. I use these silicon legal size envelopes I purchased at Kinokuniya. It's still quite roomy with them in it. The only drawback in my mind is where the pen loops are, not at all practical when writing on any surface. It's quite lumpy with pens.If you are accustomed to rings then it won't be a bother. I do wish that they had the Japanese style of Many small rings though, not just 3 :)I was split between Navy and Red. Ultimately chose Navy, a fave color of mine. The Red in photos seemed to dark and a touch "rusty" If it had been a Siren Hot Red, totally would have gone for it. This Navy is on the side of Black than other Navys that swing towards Cobalt. My snap closure works just fine not too hard and not too soft.

Received the Patent Fuschia instead of the Retro Red I selected... great price since I purchased a 'used' item... packaging had a few issues that I expected but it didn't affect the planner at all. LOVE my Filofax, even though color not what I was expecting, keeping it despite the wrong color and feeling so much more organized!! I traced the (6) divider pages onto scrapbook cardstock, added some quotes and stickers then laminated each one so it would last longer than flimsy paper. Added a few post it notes onto my new laminated dashboard as well and I am off and running to a more organized life. Would purchase a Filofax product again (love the larger A5 size, its more suited to my life) and now all I need is the hold punch Amazon sells. With such a good experience, would definitely consider a purchase from the Amazon Marketplace in the future.

I absolutely love my A5 Pillarbox Red Original. It's floppier than most of my other planners (up for debate whether that's a good thing), and I think it looks festive and fun. Really bright and vibrant! Great product on its own.However, be incredibly careful about what you set against or around this planner. I have another planner (a nude original) that was sitting next to it for just a day or so during a move, and it now has permanent reddish-orange blotches that cannot be removed. Since then, I've noticed it transfers color to other lighter materials as well. I'm nervous to have anything around it now, and, as a result, I can't really see myself using it anymore.I absolutely love the pillarbox red color, but please be careful if you have anything lighter than the red that you want to protect. It's an ugly surprise.

This came to me with some scuffs and scratches, and it was new supposedly. I don't blame Amazon (Filofax is no longer packaging these planners in boxes like they used to; I received mine in a very flimsy card stock paper sleeve). However as a planner, this works awesome and I love the rich, deep navy color more than I thought I would. This is my daily planner and I've been using it for two months now. I love how it's entirely customizable, and it's not too heavy for me to carry everyday, but I don't stuff my Filofax. The leather of mine is very soft and floppy, though it has more structure than a Malden. I love The Originals for their simplicity, and also own a personal size navy Original that I use for lists and other information I don't need daily access to. Ring mechanism I thought might be flimsy since it's essentially just being held by a couple of rivets on the spine, but it is sturdy and doesn't move. Rings themselves are tight and work perfect. I love my Navy A5 Filofax, imperfections and all.

Got this after seeing the price and I am glad I did! It is a beautiful planner and it came brand new. There were no marks on it, the rings work perfectly and it smells just like a pair of brand new shoes!I love the feel of it and I carry it everywhere with me. The leather is flexible as it doesn't have a cardboard in it to make the cover stiff, so it's like a soft cover leather notebook. This sells for over $100 retail, so when I saw it here for almost half that, I had to take a chance. Some people said their planner looked used, but when mine came it was new and with the clear covering intact. It did look like someone moved the inserts around, but that was the only thing that looked off to me. But, it did have all the papers that are said to be included in the inserts. Love this planner and I am super glad I got it before the price went up! Yay :)

Prior to purchasing my first Filofax I used a very basic Mead planner but that just wasn't cutting it. Since last July I've been on a preventative migraine medication and the major side effect is forgetfulness, so lists and planning have become a huge must for me or I'll space out on things. This has ample room for writing down appointments, daily tasks, birthdays & anniversaries, etc. The one thing worth mentioning is that I was expecting the Black Patent that I ordered to be very shiny like the Mary Jane shoes I wore as a little girl - it isn't. It's not dull whatsoever, just not what I think of when I think of patent. It is still beautiful though and probably better in the long run though because I'm sure if it were shiny, fingerprints would be a nightmare on it.

I bought this organizer in november 2014. I bought it new. It came in a sealed box. It stayed in that box until march 2015. I opened it (With my bare hands) and I realized, it had a huge scratch in the front cover. It looks like something, or someone cutted the leather. So I'm just letting you know, check it out as soon as you get it. It might have been just mine, but do it, just in case. As for me, I'm stuck with a defectuous filofax.
