Salt is great. The package arrived with one canister having a pushed in bottom resulting in salt all over. Not sure who is responsible for that as Amazon seemed to have had it well wrapped. Flavor of salt is great.

I grew up with the idea that salt is salt. However, like anyone who grows wiser with time and experience I soon figured out that salt isn't just sodium chloride. In fact, what makes for the most important taste characteristics in salt is actually all the other mineral elements in it. In case of La Baleine sea salt this balance of various other elements makes it one of the tastiest salts on the North American market today. Salt is salt. Unless you can taste the difference! Ciao!

There is something special about grinding my salt (yes, I also grind pepper) I love it on almost anything. I use it in place of a shaker all the time and have for years.

I received the salt several days ago. I bought this as a refill for our salt grinder. I removed the plastic tab to open the spout and fill my grinder....only a few grains came out...I tried shaking the whole container to see if something was in the container blocking it....I only heard a few grains rattling around. I shook the second still closed container. All the salt shakes around just fine. Needless to say, I am returning this. The few grains that did come out are also falling right through my salt grinder....so this will never be on my grinder refill list again.

Nothing wrong with the product just above average price compared to any grocery store I've gone to since ordering. Only bought it to top up an order for free shipping, won't buy again online.
