Great replacement bulb on 2009 Madza 3 hatchback
This bulb was hard as heck to install in a 2009 Mazda 3 but it works great. It's not the bulb but the way Mazda retains the bulb which made it all hard to install. This is no dimmer or brighter than stock. It is exactly the same in my view.

OUTPUT
I guess the quality is ok, but its not as bright as the GE H7 I replaced it with, I'll have to go for higher output bulbs next time, shipping slow! but price was ok

Great for making light
My smart car seems to eat headlights. I've had to replace the bulbs every 6 months or so. It might be because it's a little stiff in the suspension or something. But that has nothing to do with the light bulb! It just means I've been able to try out a variety of headlights, and the Hella is a great bulb. It's bright white, and strikes a good balance between brightness and longevity. (I think. Hasn't gone out, yet.) Packaging is minimal: the bulb is in a little paperboard box, and the whole thing came in a bubble wrap envelope. It arrived in fine condition, the box was a little smushed on one corner, but the bulb wasn't damaged and I didn't buy it for the box. Great bulb, and the price isn't painful. I plan to buy these again the next time I need to replace my headlights.

Application: 2005 Subaru Outback I continue to put Sylvania standard bulbs in my vehicle with only ~1 year life span. Decided to switch it up and see if I can get a little more life. I am only three months into using the bulb with no complains. Be sure to not get finger oils or other contaminants on the bulb housing. Unit came in a small Hella box and is marked as Hella brand. No noticeable operating differences (Brightness, cutoff, etc) to a comparable Sylvania bulb.

Very good bulb - cheapest I've found
Very good headlamp. I use this in a 2002 Mazda Protege5. It works as well as any other one I've found, seems to have about the same life, and is the cheapest I've seen. The color isn't a bluish fake HID or anything weird - it is a normal (i.e., yellowish) tungsten halogen headlight. I have mixed these with other brands, and the color match is good.

Good Quality Bulb So Far
Save your money and stay away from those 90% or 150%! brighter light claims. Those bulbs simply burn brighter and therefore last much shorter than standard bulbs - like less than 1/2 the life of standard bulbs. For me, the little extra light output is not worth the extra cost and moreover, the constant burn-out and replacement. These Hella bulbs are standard output bulbs and I expect them to last for years like the OEM bulbs on my 06 Hyundai Sonata did (6 years). Strange however, the OEM bulbs were Phillips and made in Germany, these Hella bulbs which I thought was a German company, are made in Korea.

Works for the headlight of a Subaru Outback 207
This lightbulb fits the Subaru Outback 2007 and seems as good as any original part. I'd buy it again if my headlight went out again. Easy to install too.

For the price these bulbs do the job. They are easy to install and were packed well when they arrived. Time will tell if they last any longer than nay other brands of bulbs but with my experience with Hella in the past I have a feeling that they will.
