The 5 year old was able to use the stencils and put outfits together in this book. But the only bad part is when you close your page you're working on to get stickers it's hard to find it again. I finally gave her a post-it note to attach but since you're flipping back and forth it kept falling off. Maybe a more durable page clip would work better. She loved it though. Even her 10 year old brother designed one ( a little scary looking after he drew it a monster face, but he had fun doing it.)

Exactly how I remember it from my childhood! 100% would buy again. clear lines a whole bunch of stencils and some stickers too you can even draw/color the hair.

Eleven year old loved it. At that age where toys are not wanted, but still liked something to do Christmas morning. A future designer maybe.

A fun little fashion designing sketch book that provides hours of entertainment for younger girls. It’s a good size book and is very sturdy. It has fun bright colors and had a great price point. Perfect for the little fashionista in your life! The stencils are a fun way to show them how to draw certain outlines but getting them to grab onto the spiral can be a little difficult for younger ones but nothing an adult can’t help with!

This was a Christmas gift - one not on the 11-year-old's wish list. When she opened it, even though she tried to act happy, I could tell she was a little disappointed, When I asked her about it, she told me that she doesn't like to draw much anymore. A few days later, after she'd gotten a chance to enjoy all of her other new loot, the stuff she actually wanted, it was time to check out the "boring" gifts. Once she tried it out, she lost herself in it, and stayed at it all day, proudly showing me her the outfits she has created. I'm really quite impressed with the designs she has come up with. I like the concept of stenciling in the outline of the outfits. At this age, she's not a master artist, and if she had to draw the models and the outlines, I think she'd be very disappointed in the end product. BTW, the faces of the models are printed on the the pages of the notepad, allowing the child to concentrate purely on on other aspects of design. I like how it has inspired her creativity, reawakening her love of drawing. Even with the pad of paper runs out, with the stencils she can enjoy designing with the stencils for as long as she wants. In the end, I think this is the present that has given her the most enjoyment. She draws with it almost every day. A lot of bang for the buck.
