PlantronicsSAVI 8200 Series W8210 Wireless DECT Headset System, Built for UC Applications & Soft Phones from Avaya, Cisco, Skype

I work at the front desk and throughout a loud, busy warehouse store. I have tried many different headsets and have never found a better headset for me to hear callers and for them to hear me despite the noisy environment. I am getting older, and both my hearing and my voice are not as good as they used to be. I would like to be able to further boost the sound level that I hear yet that would put the sound at too high a level for most people. The battery has been giving me a full 9-plus hours of use while at work. Those I speak to on the phone are no longer complaining about the noisy background and can hear me well. Well done on this DECT set. Connection is lost whenever I get 150 to 200 feet from the base unit in the large building without walls but with plenty of racking and product. The DECT is a much better audio connection than is Bluetooth. I would suggest this headset for anyone who needs to conduct phone conversations in loud environments while needing to keep an ear open to their surroundings. If not for needing the open ear I would suggest the headset that covers both ears.

I've now been through 6 of the top wireless headsets here on Amazon, all above $200 and they ALL save for theJabra Pro 930 UC are locked at 16Khz, what Windows calls "Tape Recorder Quality". I spoke with Plantronics support and they confirmed this is just how it is and can not be changed.Given I purchased this to use with softphone applications only (primarily Discord and Google Voice) that is totally unacceptable, I can't understand how it would be acceptable to ANYONE.So if you're planning to use this with your PC primarily, or much at all SKIP IT FOR SURE! Sadly the Jabra Pro 930 had other major issues (the mic would just stop transmitting) so the search continues...

Failed after 2 years and 2 months just like another review. Would hang up on customers when trying to answer another line to put them on hold while talking with a current call. Was my favorite but now it's not. Switching brands to Leitner.

I purchased this product because in the description it states:Connects To: PC and Mac via included USB-A cable, desk phones via included cable and smartphones via Bluetooth.

I loved it, however the life expectancy was very short based on what I paid for it! Very disappointing!

There was little to no noise canceling - folks on the other end could hear my dog barking, outside, on the other side of the house. The wifi did not work well. Repeatedly I would be told by others that they couldn't hear me, that I would cut out mid sentence (and I had no clue or warning;) this is even after it had sat on the charger overnight.

I picked up the Savi 8200 after a FW update killed my w430. Coming from the w430, I expected this headset to be light, comfortable and easy to wear for hours. Unfortunately, that is absolutely not the case. The headset is clunky and uncomfortable especially when I wear it with glasses. Adding insult to injury the magnetic base for the w430 was easy to find without looking. Now I have to fumble to ensure I get the headset back on the base correctly each and every time.

I installed the firmware update suggested to me by the plantronics hub, headset never worked again. Shipped it back to them at MY OWN expense. Replacement is unavailable for months now, I am shouting at my keyboard during corp meetings.
