A very good basic ink
I normally use Diamine, J. Herbin, Lamy, Pelikan, Pilot, and Waterman inks. The price was right on this Parker Quink Black, so I decided to give it a try. I knew that this ink had been around forever, so it couldn't be terrible. I'm actually quite pleased with this ink. I wasn't looking for a waterproof or bulletproof ink, either (this ink is neither). Just a nice ink for journaling and taking down quick notes. Right now I'm using it in my Jinhao 601 with a fine/medium nib. My Jinhao is a bit of a wet pen, and I think that this Quink is a little on the dry side, so pen and ink work very well together. It's a nice black color with hints of blue, not super black but not particularly gray either. I didn't want a super black blackety black. I have a Sharpie and ballpoints for that. The black color will have a lot to do with your choice of pen and nib size. A fine-nibbed dry writer will make this ink appear grayer. This ink has become one of my top favorite inks. One thing I like about it that others may or may not like is that it shades. Yes, this black ink shades! Much like Montblanc Mystery Black, which I also like. The fact that this ink shades is a dead give away that I wrote something with a fountain pen, which is cool. There's just something about this ink that I really, really like. I have tried this ink in many of my pens and haven't been disappointed. This ink is not a super saturated ink like Noodler's with lots of bells and whistles, but I think this is what I like about it. Noodler's has its place, as does Parker Quink Black. This is one of those well-behaved inks that won't harm any pen. And, this ink is very, very easy to clean out of pens. Parker Quink Black has become an excellent go-to daily ink for me. Lately I have also been using this ink in my Parker Frontier with a fine nib and love the combo. Very smooth. Thumbs up!

Always excellent ink
Parker's Quink and Schaeffer's Skrip ink are the two I find best, for my fountain pen.

Same bottle for 8 years.
I have had this bottle of ink for 8 years, purchased 2018 and its about halfway through, still a wonderful and EASY to work with black ink. Its very forgiving when it comes to cleaning and maintenance of your pens while using this ink. It flows nicely from all nibs and pens I have used this ink in over the years.

Price is good but shipping is not the best
The overall quality of the ink is good. I used it to replace my Higgins pigment ink for artwork. The Parker ink is good to dilute with water for ink drawings. However, if you are a professional at calligraphy, I don't think this is the best ink. The Parker one feathers on some papers. It does not do so on drawing paper but it feathers on a post-it note. If you have a good foundation pen and not too picky about the pigment, I would recommend this. For my use, the Parker ink is smooth for drawing and pigmented enough to create different shadows. I am getting almost twice the amount I get in my Higgins ink bottle. What I also like about the Parker ink is that it does not stain my hands; it washed off with soap and water after 2-3 washes. The product is good but the shipping took way longer than it needed to. It took 14 days to arrive and when I received it, the box was in bad condition and there was ink spillage when I opened the box. There needs to be more cushion when shipping out a glass bottle.

Excellent All-around Ink
I was looking for a black ink that didn't go onto the paper super wet, was a deep opaque black that did not shade onto the paper. With that as my expectation this ink exceeded them. First, what I have found to be true is it dries fairly quickly on the page. Likewise, I found that even on cheap paper it did not bleed through to the back. I suspect that's because of quick drying properties. Second, I found this ink to perform extremely well in a variety of different fountain pens. In a Noodler flex pen, I found it provided a clearer thin and thick line, and didn't dump a lot of ink when laying down the thick lines. In a vintage (60+ year old pen) absolutely outstanding performance. When capped the pen stayed wet, and laying down lines was consistent and very crisp. In broad, fine and medium point fountain pens there isn't any dumping of ink at all. Whatever is the chemical make-up of this ink, I'm very impressed with great it looks on the page, how it performs in a variety of pens and how smooth it lays down. I'm going to try other colors to see how they perform and I'll definitely buy this again once I run out of this color.

Buy this ink!!!
Before typing my every text into my laptop, I first write everything with a fountain pen, hand on paper. That's why I use a lot of ink. After a long time, I found a great ink. Parker. It absorbs quickly, and yet the color is extremely beautiful, just the black that is needed for writing. The price is incredibly low for that quantity. I recommend it because it is high quality, affordable in price, buy this ink.

Works with quill style pens as well as manual fill fountain pens.
This is a good quality in that can be used in the manual balloon cartridges in my fountain pens but also with my quill as a dip and write ink. It dries fairly quickly so it doesn't smudge, seems resistant to moisture unless water is dropped right on top of it, and is a good, solid black ink that doesn't make writings look like they might be faded. Best of all, the lid stays tight on the bottle so I'm not opening a drawer to find everything swimming in black ink.

This used to be called just 'Quink' now re-named as PKR (Parker) Quink. A reliable ink which flows easily and has a consistent and non-fading colour. Available in several colours. Always reliable.

Bought a Parker Sonnet and thought this might be a good companion for it. Turns out I was right. The ink writes smoothly and looks intensely black. Exactly what is expected from Parker ink. At this price, which is not really high nor really low, this ink is something that you can totally live with. Will come back and repurchase after my current storage is wiped clean.

The ink, once you access it, is a rich black on what paper I've tried it upon, not too thick for the little Dryden fountain pen I have, not watery. Go Quink! Bottle was well buffered in a cardboard sleeve and shipping envelope. However, getting the stuck-tight lid off was an adventure in physics. Best recommendation from the intertubes that worked to unstick the lid? Don't bang it, or use rubber bands, etc Boil water, pour just enough in a bowl so that it covers JUST the lid when you upend the sealed ink jar into the hot liquid. Count to five, maybe ten. Take the jar out of the hot water, put it right side up and carefully try to remove the lid. The bottle I received wouldn't budge its lid until I tried this technique, but it opened easily after I tried it once, yay! PS: You also might not want to order liquid ink when it's -25C either. I suspect the delivery couriers don't have a special heated section of the vehicle and if they leave the item at your door for more then 10 minutes, you will likely get an inkcicle that may or may not expand and break the bottle. I managed to rescue my delivery immediately.
