This is a great book with activities for an adult and young child. A motivated older child could do these alone

I almost passed on this book due to the bad reviews but those people must not understand that:1) yes, all this can be found online but you’re paying for convenience of it all compiled into one book without having to listen to some blogger’s backstory of why they chose to share their favorite project and it’s as-free. It’s concise and to the point.2) these projects are meant for children. You’re not going to build a functional telephone or parachute. It’s meant to be simple enough for a young child to master and understand the CONCEPT. My preschooler LOVES this book. I imagine a child that can read on their own would love to do projects by themselves. We’ve completed 6 projects so far (only had the book a week) and all materials were common household items.This has captured my children’s interest and they beg to do projects and enjoy just browsing the book. I love it. This would be a great gift to give along with some commonly needed supplies- tape, yarn, ruler, etc. 100% recommend.

Highly recommend for kids! My son LOVED this book and the projects are easy and inexpensive and fun!It saved my sanity during the quarentine and social distancing period!

Perfect family activities

I bought this for my grandson Ethan. His fifth birthday is still several months away, but his interest in engineering is clear. As a retired engineer, I want to encourage it. We have so much infrastructure to rebuild in this country, and we'll be at it for decades. I'm hoping at least one of my grandsons will choose engineering.

Most of the projects are easy to do . A few of them we had to problem solve when they did not come out the first time. The items needed are readily available . My grandchildren especially liked the foosball .

This book is great. I use it for my homeschool co-op. The kids say it is their favorite class. It is set up like a cook book. It lists the supplies the. Tells you how to accomplish the activity. It also tells you a little about why you would use the activity. In the front of the book it tells you how to use the book and explains what engineers do and what types of engineers there are.
