Colavita, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 17 Fl Oz

We hear a lot of controversy over whether EVOO from Italy is actually EVOO from Italy. Well, I can tell you that Colavita EVOO certainly tastes and smells like the real thing. I use it for salads, breaded chicken cutlets (w/balsamic), and for cooking, and there's really not another popular brand I like as much. I've been buying Colavita for years, and it's never disappointed me. And I'm really fussy. If you could ask any of my friends, they would tell you, "If Jay likes it, it must be good."

This is the only olive oil we purchase. A lot of oils nowadays are cut with canola and vegetable oil as a cheap filler, and for what it’s worth, I have done a good amount of research to find one that is third party tested to be TRUE olive oil, and this is it! Good quality comes at a price, and this is something we are willing to pay extra for. Every bottle we have purchased has been consistent - smells great, silky smooth texture, fresh and tastes like olive oil should be!

This is the best EVOO I have ever tasted and used. I put it on salmon and shrimp before roasting. In addition I put it on vegetables and roast them. My favorite thing is to microwave small red potatoes then smash them with the bottom of a bowl, put EVOO on them and herbs and roast them until they are slightly crispy!! Delicious! I buy this EVOO on a regular basis. I recommend it.
