Original Aerobic Platform – Health Club Size

I realize it’s only an aerobic step, but for what it is, I think it’s fantastic. It is the perfect size. The step risers are very light weight (so easy to carry) but they feel totally stable. The top has a grippy surface that feels very secure for your feet, and it also has a little give to it which is probably its best feature. I had an old step from the Firm that I loved, but it is just hard plastic and honestly, once you get past 30, that is a little hard on the joints. The give this step provides really makes step aerobics more pleasant (if you are not 25 anymore). Overall, I’m totally happy with the purchase though I wish it was a little cheaper, but I guess that’s inflation right?

I bought this step about a week ago, and I already love it. The product arrived without any defects, and very quickly as I had accidentally paid for two day shipping, I was not paying attention, be careful of that. It is very sturdy. I've got the step on carpet currently and it does not slip or move. I notice that some have complained about not being able to physically attach everything together but it does not bother me. This product allows me to perform a basic workout while binge watching Netflix. I have yet to try the step video, but as far as I'm concerned that was an extra anyway. It is a little longer then I thought it would be, but if I had checked the length dimensions, I would have known that, so make sure that you've got an easy to acces storage place. Yes, there are cheaper products out there, but in my experience, they are generally flimsy, which is not a good thing, especially if your a little overweight. I've got about 25 extra pounds to lose, and I feel very secure and safe on this product. I would definitely recommend.

I’ve always liked working out on the platforms since the 80 and 90s . Great workout. Highly recommend. Well built and sturdy.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this for anyone with the space for it, and those who do aerobics. I'm post-stroke (about 17-months ago), and I can't do much on it at any height. I use it, with the maximum stacking, for 3-way calf raises (facing front, then heels together, and ending with toes together, thick socks, no shoes). I started doing my 3-way calf raises on The Step because I need to stretch my calves not only all the way up to work the belly of the calves, but also, all the way down with my heels hanging off The Step so that the bottom of my calves and my soleuses (sp.?) get a good stretch, and therefore are not developing cockeyed. There are carpeted stairs out in the building's hallway. I tried doing the calf raises on the hallway stairs, but 1) The stairs are less than 10-inches deep, making it unsafe for calf raises unless your feet are smaller than mine (8.5EE in men's size because I can't any footwear for what my older sister calls my "duck feet." And 2) I can't get down the hallway stairs and outside to use a more appropriate, free way to do the 3-way calf raises. Everybody who is relatively healthy, has no dizziness or balancing issues, who plans to use it for aerobics? Go for it. I can discern no difference in the quality, which amazes me as almost any item I once used and need again, sometimes in as little as six months, has noticeably deteriorated. This is a rare, i.e., The Step is still a well-made item whose price has not sky rocketed, nor has the quality deteriorated at all.

I ordered The Step on Saturday night and received it today, Tuesday before noon. This was on the free shipping that Amazon offers on orders over twentyfive dollars. Fabulous! It is the same one used at Gold's Gym and since I can no longer splurge on a membership, this is a good health and gee I wish I could get my jeans over my butt again investment! I have done step before to lose weight and get healthy and it works. I received the promised DVD and did the first workout. I did find this boring because it was so repetitive until the last 10 minutes or less but I am thinking the more difficult routine will be more interesting. I also placed an order for a different workout DVD from another instructor, Christi Taylor, I read on here is really good and uses more variety. I like dance moves and high impact so I am looking forward to that one. From what I can tell, this is the same exact step that is selling on here for twenty dollars more under a different model number and minus the DVD. I think this is a great value package and the step can double as a weight bench. I am very happy and glad to be kicking off my weight loss goals on a nice sturdy and fun to use product.

Great quality I use it for step, stretching or weight workout. Just like the old days of going to a class but I can do it at home!

I don't know if this a legit Original Step (I sure hope so for the price I paid for it), but either way I'm happy with it. I weight 240 pounds and it feels sturdy. The little rubber feet stick very well on my hard wood floors and the plateforms underneath are stable (the step does not move on top). The top is not like the old Steps with the rubber with grooves in it, but it's rubberized and non-slip. I choose this Step to ensure it would be strong enough to hold my weight and it doesn't disappoint. *It doesn't come with a DVD, but there's a Website where you can download workouts, the instructions come with the step*

I hadn’t done Step aerobics since the 90s and was craving the moves. This is exactly like the ones we used at the Y. Perfect step and safe to use.
