Great product! My family and I noticed benefits in two weeks of taking it. It is really an impressive vitamin. The greatest part is its half life. Meaning you don't just pee it out. It is 60 % used in body 20% is out through waste. That means you are actually using what you paid for. My sister-in- law is a Nurse Practitioner at the psychiatry office I too work at. She has been advising patients for years to start taking NAC daily. It has many different health benefits. One of the many is improved mental health. I started talking it due to Covid19. She informed me that it helps with lung health. She also told me that is safe to take with other prescription medications. My husband and I have noticed our lungs are clearer than before. We didn't even have lung issues. He feels it has improved his running because of the lung improvement. It is a small price to pay for all the health benefits. It smells a bit. I don't find the flavor an issue. It is easy to swallow. We take after dinner due to the possibility of stomach upset. If taken on an empty stomach. No stomach upset experienced. The bottle is a bit misleading. It is marked 1200 mg on the front. That is the beneficial dosage. When I received it the back indicates you must take 2 capsules to achieve the 1200 mg daily. I was under the impression it would be 1 1200 mg daily by the front of the bottle. Not a deal breaker by any means. Just letting you know what to expect.

This is the best NAC out there on the market. Yes it has bad smell but that sulfer smell is actually a good thing when it comes to NAC and speaks to the quality of this product. NAC is supposed to stink and if it doesn’t than you don’t have good stuff. I am certain this stuff saved me when I had pneumonia and I have friends who credit this for what kept them out of the hospital when they had Covid. I am not a doctor, I’m just a person who has had chronic lung issues for years and can speak to my own personal experience with NAC and this product in particular. I’ve tried other brands of NAC and they aren’t nearly as good as this one. Make sure you research NAC before you start taking it though as it can interfere with other medications and supplements you may take. Make sure you take it on an empty stomach to get the full benefit. It also disrupts your body’s collagen production so if you plan to take this regularly you may want to look into taking a collagen supplement.

This is the absolute best supplement for yeast infections, chronic ear or dental infections. Im a physician, and it is quite effective in chronic infections. Can help you avoid having to take an antibiotic! For less severe infections, and can boost the effect of an antibiotic when you have a resistant strain. It is an effective treatment against biofilms When you first open it though, it smells bad. Just leave it sitting open for the first 12-24 hours. That's the NAC that has that smell, don't let it worry you. Just let it "air out" it doesn't transfer to any taste or anything, or leave any smell when you take it ( in fact the opposite, helps halitosis!!) its just when you first open the bottle you get that smell. Let's you know Iyou have a good quality, high concentration NAC. Airing it out seems to take care of it.

So, the first two bottles I got had an extreme "burnt hair" smell and taste. You would get a nasty taste/smell when you burp. Not a deal breaker by any means. I have had other supplements in capsules that smelled similar. The third bottle I received had apparently responded to complaints by adding a strong menthol to it; it still had the burnt hair, but now with a cooling menthol note. I wouldn't personally consider it an improvement, but it still wasn't a deal breaker. Unfortunately, the fourth bottle had the previously mentioned issues as well as a decidedly "deceased and rotting" smell and taste. Update 2/26 Back to just mint! Must have been a bad batch.

I actually love the peppermint added. I've taken them for a few days and feel a big difference in my energy level! The intial smell isn't that bad to me and worth the benefits.

Horbaach does it again! Another high quality, efficacious product! I love everything I've tried by this brand, and now it's a brand that I trust. I guess I shouldn't be surprised their NAC would be a winner! I won't make any claims, but Horbaach's NAC is much better than another well-known brand of NAC that I was taking previously. Also, Horbaach has the added benefit of peppermint in their NAC, which cuts down on the bad aftertaste and smelly burps lol. Make sure you take these with plenty of water. Try them. goes down like raw sewage that someone attempted to cover up with mint. best part is it makes you burp and fart the same disgusting smell right up to the next dose. i think it must help the lungs by making you cough so hard trying not to vomit.

REALLY SMELLS AWFUL! I'm not sure if they intended to mask the sulfur (rotten eggs) pungence with a peppermint scent but MY GOSH! Do these things Wreak! I have never even taken 1 tablet, I'm scared it will cause me to stink, have body odor or flatulence or bad breath. I can only imagine the after taste. Can't really write if it works because I don't really need to take them, just thought it was a good supplement to start taking. But What a mistake! Seriously, think on these if you want them. Overall, 3 stars for coming in a big bottle. Also HUGE tablet size.
