CapezioWomen's Studio Shoes Dance Sneaker

True to Size. Easy Turns. Easy to Stop.
I'm a former amateur dancer. I did ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop in high school and college. There's a reason Capezios are a trusted brand. Since college, I've partner danced socially and now that I'm 40 years old, I have no interest in dancing in heels any longer. Even my short 2.5 inch heels. Retired them. I just want to be comfortable and enjoy the dance to the fullest. I care more about how my body feels in the movement, than how my feet look in the shoes. So I bought these jazz sneakers for salsa and swing dancing.I just tried them on in my house on wood floors and they are as amazing as I remember. I was able to do inside and outside double turns. If my balance were better, I would have been able to easily hit triple and quadruples. They have enough grip to dance around and stop when I want and they are designed for easy turns, keeping the knees safe and helping with balance.I also want to note that they look, feel, and turn better than Fuegos. Fuegos are unisex shoes, so even when they are sized right, they rub the outside of my feet and look like clunky guy shoes on my feet. Almost like clown shoes, since the Fuegos are so wide. That's another reason I opted for Capezios. They look nice on my feet; they are made to fit women's feet so they look more slender and they hug my feet properly without rubbing; and they allow me to point and turn. I'll save the Fuegos for outdoor events and use the Capezios for indoor dancing. Also, there is a bunch of conversation in the reviews about sizing up or down. Amazon's AI even suggested that I size down by half and said that 90% of users that take their suggestion don't return them. Amazon was wrong. These Capezios run TRUE TO SIZE. If you were born female, order your normal size. I wear 8.5 in most shoes, 9 in some heels. An 8.5 fit me perfectly.

Finally! ZUMBA shoes that don't kill my feet!
I have had trouble finding sneakers that don't hurt the balls of my feet. When I started ZUMBA, I found the jumping/ high impact moves made this problem even worse. Plus, sneakers would not slide well for turns, etc. I tried several different pairs of sneakers wiht no success, then did a search in amazon for "zumba shoes" and "dance shoes." These got good reviews from others. so I decided to try a pair. There was free return shipping so I had nothing to lose! According to the reviews, these shoes run a bit small, so I ordered 1/2 size bigger than my regular size. They were perfect! There was no "Break in" time required...from the first time I wore these, they were comfortable and I was able to do an entire 60 minute session without pain! And the soles slide easily, but provide enough traction to do lunges. I highly recommend these!

There's a lot good and a little not so good.
I just danced in them for the first time and I'm not sure if I should keep them or return them. Here are the points:Good toe pivot.Good heel pivot.Decent grip even with pivot so you can hold your place in various postions without sliding.Moderate to poor glide. It's okay, but doesn't hold a candle to the glide on the old capezio jazz shoes.High arch support which I like because of a history of ballet and pointe which distorts your foot shape a bit, but some might feel it's too high.I purchased a half size up reading reviews about them running small. They fit lengthwise, but they're too narrow. Not causing extreme pain, but it does cause some discomfort and tingling in my smaller toes.Don't love the "support" at the ankle. It's supportive but bulky. It's just okay. This is probably a little picky but I don't like the rounded laces. It makes them hard to tie and tighten, but it can be done with a little extra pull.Lastly, they are not pretty but that doesn't matter much to me.In the end, it was a pretty good dance. All in all I'd give them about an 80%. I've been trying several brands of dance shoes and dance sneakers and this one is among the highest.Still looking for that perfect pair.

Same Quality Dance Shoe as in the Past
I had a pair of these shoes before and literally danced right through them! I had them for a number of years and only wore them on dance surfaces (never outside) and I have had these shoes for well over 10 years. I started to poke through in the little toe, then along the front sole. I eventually just danced right through them. I looked at the number on the shoe, ordered the same ones in the same size and they fit perfectly! I did not even have to use them for part of the time and then give them a rest. I just put them on and danced as before! Great turning feature! Great support and cushion, but enough flexibility to do what I need to do for a variety of dance styles.

Great dance sneakers
These do run a little narrow but like any dance shoe, they need to be broken in. Perfect for a variety of dance surfaces. I have no complaints and would not hesitate to buy them again.

Nice shoe but still not my ideal Zumba shoe
I purchased these shoes for my Zumba class. I have a pair of Raka studio D that I have been used for 2 years. Compare with the studio D, I was very impressed the first day I worn it to the class. Very light, the bottom was so smooth, you can make those turns so easy. However, I am not sure why, after worn it for a week or so, the shoe 's bottom did not seem to be so smooth any more.sometimes the first 20 minutes of class I just felt it stick to the floor. The shoe is very soft has a lot of cusion, but very hot when you sweat. I usually wear size 7-71/2 for gym shoes. So I got a size 8 on the rockit. Well, it's a little too big for me.

Daughter loves them
My daughter is a competitive Irish step dancer (think, Riverdance) and needed some shoes for warm up and outdoor performances. She says these are comfortable and perfect for her needs. The sole has the arch flexibility she needs and is hard enough that she can hear her steps.Fit is true to size.

I received the shoes today, and the left one turned out to be already worn.
