GelPro Plush 20 by 48-Inch Anti Fatigue Kitchen Mat, Basketweave, Black

I did a lot of searching before I purchased a kitchen mat. Went to a bricks & mortar store to actually feel & compare this one with several other top rated brands. I selected this one because it was plush yet the material sprang back quickly after it was compressed. I do a lot of cooking and the tile floor was starting to affect my lower back. This mat really provides support for lower extremities. The covering material is soft. The mat itself is quite heavy.Now, the caveats. It says that cleanup can be done only with water or a mild household cleaner and water. No stilettos, as they can puncture the mat material (not a problem for me!) The sides of the mat are graduated up but caution needs to be observed for older people who could trip.I would definitely recommend this mat for people who spend hours essentially standing in one place. It doesn't just cushion the floor but it also provides support.

been wanting one of these for a while. now i wish my whole kitchen floor was covered in them. only problem is-- aside from the steep price-- is that sometimes when i roll over it (i have a knee scooter) it's a bit uncomfortable but i haven't actually tripped on it. put this in front of my sink-- only problem is if water drips to the side it will get underneath and stay there and you have to pick it up every couple of days and dry underside of it. but that's a small problem and most people probably don't fling water about as randomly as we do in our kitchen. lol. now we need one for in front of our stove.

I got this for my daughter who works from a stand up desk due to some very serious back surgery. She got her employer to purchase a stand up desk however standing was giving her a great deal of fatigue. She put the Gel Pro mat down and almost immediately gained relief. She has raved about the mat so much many of her co-workers have come by her work area to stand on the mat for relief. She called me to say I had gained notoriety for sending her this mat. She loves the mat and several of her co-workers have petitioned their employer to purchase staand up desks and they are purchasing Gel Pro mats.

We ordered the GelPro Plush mat primarily because my wife has back problems that tend to flare up if she spends much time standing in our kitchen, which has a ceramic tile floor. After doing a fair amount of research we chose GelPro because it appears to be the leading brand and we chose the plush over the regular simply because we assumed thicker was better. I don't know if the latter is true since I've never used a "regular" mat but I must say the plush mat is great and it really feels good when you step on it. I think I may enjoy it as much or more than my wife does. I have noticed that the few times I spend a lot of time in the kitchen (making my signature bolognese sauce, for example) my back and legs don't get as tired. My wife reports similar results. I'm glad we opted for a leading brand and for the thicker plush model. To me, it is well worth the slightly higher price, especially with Amazon's free shipping. Our next move is to order a longer GeoPro Plush anti-fatigue mat to position beside our kitchen island. Hmmmmm, wonder if we could just cover the whole floor with one of those mats. Guess that would be overkill, huh?

We live on a fixed income and I could never justify full price, so I was delighted to find one used/like new. This is GREAT for my sit/stand desk and allows me to work at least twice as long as I might otherwise. We have three brands of anti-fatigue mats and while they all help, the GelPro is far and away the best. If we notice curling on edges other reviewers mentioned, I will update this review, but for now we couldn't be happier!

I ordered the longest GelPro Plush mat so I can put in front of the sink area.I have to say that I love this product because it is a relief for your tired feet and legs.However I must say that now I have both mats, this size mat is much much thicker in GEL, for lack of a better words than the 48" width one.

I love these rugs. I have three in my kitchen and one next to a work table. Their only problem is that they tend to travel around on the floor. I put that under-your-rug soft plastic webbing stuff and it helped a little. But I really do love how it feels to stand on them in bare feet. Fortunately, my cats haven't realized they could be sharpening their little claws on these....

It's so soft on the feet and the cushioning helps stop fatigue on your heels and arches. I can stand and wash dishes without having to stop and move around. I can finish all of them. I wanted orange but I just wanted to fel good while standing at the sink. You won't be disappointed!

I gave the GelPro mat to my daughter, who has sore feet from running. The mat allows her to stand for long periods in one place, with little or no discomfort. She is standing on a tile floor, so the only shock absorbtion is from the mat. It works extremely well. Gelpro was recommended by a friend, whose only complaint was that the edge tended to curl up, perhaps creating a tripping hazard as the mat ages. This is the only reason I do not give it a 5 star rating.

Wonderful beneath your feet. Looks good on my wooden floor in the kitchen.

Makes standing at kitchen sink so much easier on my achy back!!Actually have two mats in kitchen that make working in it easier on back!

Great product at a great price.I will buy more of these for gifting.
