OK, it's pretty simple: A flat plug, eighteen inches of cord, and a socket. But if you have hard furniture that you want to put right up against a wall where it would block an electrical socket, this little cable is a godsend. It can let you have your cake and eat it too.I'd lay odds that most people have a place in their homes where a couple of these would come in handy. I'd even recommend it to people just to keep around for emergencies; you might get a nice piece of furniture, find the perfect place for it, and have an outlet ruin the whole layout. It takes up a minimum amount of space and is heavy-duty enough for most applications. It's also a good thing that it's sold in packs of five; if you needed one, you're going to need another somewhere else.My only quibble is with the cable placement as it comes out of the plug. As you look at the plug in a socket with the ground connector at 6 o'clock, the cable curves off starting at 4 o'clock and bends toward 5 o'clock. (I hope you weren't raised entirely on digital watches.) I would say that (1) the curve is unnecessary-- it could just come straight out at 4 o'clock-- and (2) I would love to have different versions of this product where the cables come out at 12, 3, 6, or 9 o'clock. I know that some plugs swivel, but those take up a lot of space; a flat plug of this sort has to be molded in that orientation.But, 19 times out of 20, this cable works perfectly for what it does. I'm giving it an even better recommendation than a glowing review: I'm buying another bag.

You know when you have that thing to plug in but you don't want to go through the extension cord business, but you have to because that's all you have; really old and stiff un-kept correctly extension cords, well you don't have to do that anymore and get what your instincts are telling you to get,,, this.The plug was on the wall, the wall was behind the boxes and the boxes were behind the big pictures to clean. All I did was have this in the wall before I even decided to ever use it there.Someone may say to you, "why do you need 5 of them?" And you can tell them, "I don't know we'll see when I need them why and I'll be glad I had them".. Because you will be.They're great for those singular jobs with the tools, they're perfect for the corner top outlet from the Stove (which has little space to plug anything else because of a shelf right on top), and they're perfect to have stored near-by for those opportune times of safety needed while having something plugged into something looking unsafe.It's not too long and not too short it's perfect and special and I'm so happy we have them now. I've been using them non-stop for while we fix this house of ours and it's perfect. They store nicely, they're hard and sturdy, and an essential bracelet or choker for any electric dress up party this year. Good work Ziotek.

These will work on a power strip where the outlets are one above the other in line. However, the Huntkey power strip I purchased on Amazon has 8 AC outlets: two rows of 4 outlets, each outlet with the ground toward the edge of the power strip. Due to the angle of the cable coming from the plug, these power strip liberators still cover an adjacent outlet, defeating their intended use. I’m ordering a different design that will work with this particular power strip and I’ll use these power liberators for something else.

I used to go to the local hardware store and pick up an extension cable with a flat plug specifically so that I could put my furniture flush against the walls, and let me change my furniture layout without any regard to where the outlets were. I wish I picked up this five pack earlier then, as it is a great value (just over three dollars / plug). The ground plug gives you maximum flexibility, and though not the thinnest plug I've ever seen, it's not like they stick out much more than the baseboard.I haven't had any problems with using two of these on the same outlet. They stack perfectly. A few other reviewers mentioned they had issues. I guess they got older models?And by design the cord bends at an angle to the right, but you can pull it back to the left given all three feet of wiring. The wire cover is thick enough that I'm not too concerned about pressure or twisting damaging the cord, though as with all hidden wires, you should be careful or else risk a fire hazard. Still, I find myself using them for places I didn't buy them for, just because it's more convenient or gives me easier access to the power outlet.All in all, a great purchase.

This product was exactly what I needed! I wanted to put my entertainment system closer to the wall but the wire from my power strip was too stiff and I had to have a fairly large gap to avoid bending it. This worked great. I use some of the spares behind my couch so those wires wouldn't make marks on the couch.The male end of the plug does have a curve but if you use two in an outlet you can see why they did that. If they didn't put a curve on it then there would be no way for it to be flush.The plugs are rated at 13A but just be conscious of what you're plugging into it. Most wall outlets are 15A but just don't go plugging your hair dryers, irons, and space heaters into it and you'll be fine. Most household electronics don't take much power at all. All electronics have their power usage on them somewhere so just take a peek if you're concerned. If it just gives you a value in watts (W) just divide by 120 and you have your current in amps.Overall this is a great product at a great value! I will definitely suggest this to my friends!
