Go up and down quite well (a little assistance needed sometimes to fold neatly inside the three sided pelmet typical on a motorhome, not a big deal, and not their fault as its not your typical Roman Blind fabric), due to the relative stiffness caused by the quilted backing. Now you know why I mentioned the light transmittal issue. So not exactly black out blinds, but pretty close, so I'm happy. Bedroom windows look so much more classy now. one warning if following my idea. Because you don't need lining material, i glued on the battens, got a bit carried away with the spray contact glue and some of it bleed (sp?) to the front side, through the heat welded joins in a few places. So the first one's not perfect, but the next 2 will be because i'll be more carefull with the spray glue.-1 star for not being actually stitched into diamonds.
