They are the size they claim, 10 ounces
I read several reviews prior to my puchase and some were concerning. The size seemed to be the biggest con but luckily I had a measuring devise (ruler, tape measure, etc) as well as a measuring cup. The size is Exactly as it stated? These aren't for Caserole's or mountains of food but they are perfect for: Oeufs en cocote, escargot, souffle's and hundreds of great presentations. The quality my 2 sets arrived in was well packed, free of damage and great quality. Lodge makes mini skillets as well as huge Dutch ovens for those looking to fill up on a single crock of food but if you're after a great presentation small enough to fit on a plate with sides, these are perfect!I plan on always hand washing these as I would with any cast iron. My rating:☆☆☆☆☆☆Had the opportunity to use these already and they hold 3 extra large eggs, 2 heaping tablespoons of Mascarpone plus some veggies with room to spare. Cleaned up easily and didn't discolor at all.

Love these little things
I do not use the item as intended. I use mine as an on the counter as a butter dish. I gifted one of them to a friend who has a hard time not getting a glass butter dish broken on the counter. A short fat quarter pound of butter just fits inside or the longer quarter pound stick can be cut in half. Since the item is thick an coated cast it is wonderful for this purpose. I did not rate it for warmth since I use it for cold.

Disappointing...
I love Lodge cast iron and have many pieces. This, however, was somewhat disappointing. First of all it is supposed to be enameled. The box says it is enameled. I have owned many enameled items and if this is enameled it is something I am totally unfamiliar with. There does not appear to be ANY coating of ANY kind on it. It is rough to the touch inside and out. If you brush it off with a paper towel you will have a mess. You also need to be careful where you sit it. My stove top is stainless and it has already scratched it some. I ordered the black ones but the red ones that I looked at on Amazon seem to have a beautiful enamel coating. They are well made and I'm sure I will get many years of use from them. I feel like for what they are they were kind of expensive...$24.95 plus tax for a set of two. They each hold about three quarters of a cup.

Very Disappointed
Before I give my review of this product, I would like to give kudos to Amazon Customer Service rep. I am very disappointed in this product. It is not up to the Lodge brand reputation. These are the cuties mini's ever and would serve my purpose. I am shocked with the quality of the mini's. The first set was not delivered on time. But, when they did get here, both lids had large chips missing that should have been caught during packing the mini's in the box from Lodge. The Lodge box nor the packing box was not damaged, just the lids. Since, the product cannot be returned the customer service rep went beyond my expectations and offered giving me my money back or sending out two more mini's. I chose more mini's thinking this has to be a fluk. No, it wasn't. The second set just had a bad paint job. It has lumps in it and the paint has a bubbles in it. It's like when you get too much paint on your brush and the paint starts dripping down. It's not the "sand casting" they talk about in the "Limited Lifetime Warranty" from Lodge. I would have ordered more of these mini's, but I just can't risk the workmanship of this product. I have a lot of cast irons from Lodge and this is the only time I received inferior quality. I may not be ordering anymore Lodge products online.

Veery small pots. Poorly packaged and chipped in transport.
They are cute. Buyer beware these are 10 ounce size. Not sure why I thought 2 quart. Like a custard cup. The enamle on the rim is badly chipped. Box has a picture of onion soup which would have warned me off. I won't return them but I don't know what Ill ever use them for either. Still looking for a 4 quart but will go to Bed Bath and Beyond where I can see it first,

the black looks like a regular cast iron very nice..
for the price you cant beat it. the black looks great, there are lip and the lid edges arent finely finished but not a big deal, just wished they didnt cast that big lodge logo on the lid its too big i prefer minimal. was thinking of buying the cocottes from other brands but it was just too expensive and it isnt even enameled cast iron.i have yet to cook on this ill make an update soon.

Great product, poor packaging
The product is great, the packaging is horrible. These are enameled cast iron and the way lodge packages them, there is a good chance of the top edges knocking together. I had to return my first set because of it. They are pricey for what you get. I feel they are worth half the price, the quality of the meals prepared in them has been good. I haven't had any sticking issues, but the enamel is delicate and will chip.

Love these little ones...
I use these to heat up small amounts of things in the oven. If I want to reheat fillings for soft tacos these are perfect. I use them to warm up single servings of bean dip or queso. They are just the right size. I love these little ones.

Works great, cute, great value, found a small chip but would still buy again
These are the cutest cast iron cocottes. I serve warm dips, sauces, and nuts in them. They retain heat beautifully and for their price are a great value compared to other name brands.Unfortunately though, one of the pot's outer enamel was chipped either in packaging or shipment (the chip fell out onto the counter when I unpacked it, ≈4 square mm).Would I have purchased it again knowing that it seems to have happened more than once reading other reviews? Probably yes because I have lots of old beautiful Le Creuset pots that are also chipped from wear and tear but they work just as well. The chip was on the outside and not inside.

These are very small, around 3 inches, good for baking small individual desserts or appetizers.
These look like excellent quality but they are really mini, meant more for presentation than practicality.

Other then that great product!
I thought they would be a little bit bigger. I'm using for small meals in a toaster oven. Other then that great product!
