Ethics: Theory and Contemporary Issues

This book was required for my class, but I still read it because it is very interesting, and has a lot of interesting views in it. Great book for those entering psychology or sociology.

I rented this book from Amazon for a college philosophy course. This book was clear and allowed me to understand several ethical theories and topics with ease and served as an important asset to the class. While the few charts and graphs included were not very modern, colorful or eye catching, the book itself was simple and easy to understand. Some topics were covered very briefly, while others were covered at length, which led to having our teacher provide some outside resources on certain topics. So, not a complete guide to philosophy or ethics, but a good base to start from. It was also a little dry and dense at times. Several students in my class complained of falling asleep while trying to read this book, although I didn't have that problem personally.

My professor is making us read the entire book, the book is in good condition to do so.

The book in itself was great! It was informative and helped me get through the class. The explanations made sense so I wasn't confused. I bought it used (first time buying a used book) and whoever it came from did a horrible job. There were torn pages and coffee stains and writing all over. It was rated as acceptable and I found that to be a job because I couldn't touch it without washing my hands every time. At one chapter, I had a hard time because the pages were glued together with some unknown substance and that was the final straw. It was fulfilled by Amazon so I contacted customer service, explained the situation and was able to send it back and I was credited my money back. Amazon did their job and the book overall was great.

Very reasonable price. I highly recommend this site if the bookstore on your campus prices are as ridiculous as mine are.

First of all the book took 20 days to arrive and my class had already started. Had to buy a 2nd copy NOW and local. The book arrived and it is the wrong version of the book we ordered. We are now in the process of returning the book to a location that is 4-hours away. WOW 20 days to go 200 miles.

So far the book is what I needed to complete my course.
