An excellent copy of the 1942 Military Manual for the .30 Caliber Rifle of 1917.

I believe this is a reprint of the original army Field Manual? I'm not absolutely sure. The detail is excellent for the average (non-gunsmith) user and kind of puts the rifle into perspective. I mean, while the sections on field stripping and cleaning are great I especially enjoy reading the marksmanship, technique and advice sections. Good perspective on an historical rifle.

Good book on the M1917. It mainly focused on training users of the rifle with some basics on maimtenance of it too. So, if you are looking for a book on details of how to work on the rifle, this ain't it.

my husband bought a 1917 smithfield for our son. This book was a great addition to the gift.

Since I couldn't find an original FM, I bought this. It was very helpful in dissasembly and a cool view of old training.

I have a sporterized Enfield I inherited from my Dad who inherited it from his Uncle and I've gone target shooting with it a few times but wanted to learn more about looking after it properly. This book has a lot more information than I was expecting and will be a great resource for me.
