Exactly what I was looking for.
Came wrapped in plastic. Wood was smooth, no indents, chips or splinters. I've used it several times and I love it. I use it to make noodles. Perfect!

Works great. Must have
This works so much better than the rolling pin I use for baking. I am able to roll my pasta dough nice and thin, with ease. Simple yet very effective

Delighted...
I already own a beautiful, 20" french rolling pin, the kind with the larger middle and tapered ends.It works fine but I find myself having to manipulate the pin around to get a baking product with the same thickness throughout. This rolling pin does the job beautifully and is just as easy to use as the french one.I have mineral oil wipes that I use to clean and maintain the pin after every use.Very solid construction and feels 'good' in the hands.I do not like rolling pins with 'handles' (feels like less 'control' to me). This wood rolling pin is a very welcome addition to my kitchen gadget collection.

Great supplemental pin!
I bought this specifically as a supplement to my handled rolling pin because I needed the width of this pin to reach my pastry rails whilst rolling out a pie crust & it is fine for that. I could not achieve enough pressure with this pin as with my handled pin. This pin is very nice, smooth hard wood but was extremely dry. I would suggest using Boos Mystery oil to season it. I lavished mine with 5 coats & it soaked up every bit of oil!

Great!
I used one like this in Italy in a cooking class to make pasta. Had to have one of my own. Lighter than traditional pie pin rollers.
