NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUPThe Adorable Shadow Palette, 0.035 Ounce

After reading the reviews on Amazon I was a bit skeptical, but the variation of colors in this palette is exactly what I would choose for an everyday 6 color eyeshadow palette. Amazon reviewers often commented that the shadows were chalky, but I did not find that to be the case using a base. Painterly Paint Pot from MAC is my favorite.Shadows from every line, no matter how expensive, will have varying color payoff (how much pigment is in the shadow) and these fall in the middle of the spectrum. This is something I look for in certain shades and is not a downfall of the product. If a product is highly pigmented you have to be very careful when loading your brush and applying, otherwise you’ll end up with too much color in some areas and not enough in others – AKA blotchy mess. I find shadows in the mid range color payoff to be easier to use and easier to teach others how to use.Why do I like this color line up?Two light colors add depth when highlighting under the brow and in the inner corner of the eye. A technique I use often is to apply the vanilla colored shadow (third over from the left) liberally above the crease and on the inner part of the eye and then use the white (far right) sparingly to add a pop of brightness right under the brow and again in the inner corner.The pink is a beautiful *transition color and can also be used as blush in a pinch.The warm light brown color (second from the left) is a must have shade as well. Easy to apply and very versatile. It’s the perfect everyday crease color or can be used to create a soft smokey eye with the deeper brown shades in the palette.There are two options for deeper browns giving variation with tone and texture. One is shimmery and the other has a sparkle, but a satin texture.

I really only use a few colors in this palette--mainly due to the lack of pigmentation in half of them. For example, the white and darker brown are very frustrating to pick up with a brush compared to other shades, and don't seem to show up unless you dig into the powder with your brush and really lay on the color. Unfortunately, because a few of the shadow shades are like this, I only really use the lighter brown and the pink shade. A little frustratingly inconsistent. My skin is freakishly pale, so getting shadow to show on my eyelids is almost never a problem. Usually NYX products are nicer than this palette, so it's a bit of a bummer. Glad I didn't spend more on this product..

I love NYX and this palette is wonderful for a natural look. It is rare that I use up most of a single palette since there are usually a few colors that don't ever get used, but my first one is almost completely empty and I'm ready to open the next one. Even better... not tested on animals!My only issue is that they put the 3 palettes I ordered floating free in a box and one of them was broken to pieces, but I had not problems getting it replaced free of all charges.

I love the colors in this palette. The are light and work for an amazing nude simple look. The only downfall that I had with this product is that a couple of the colors were busted up when I recieved it. The company was amazing at replacing my product. The item also came quick. I did not have to wait long to get this makeup. I am now hesitant about ordering makeup online. I dont want it to come in busted.

The colors are exactly what I wanted... would have loved a golden tone one though to make the Adorable a little more SWANKY!!!I guess this color palette will last me a while because I don't see myself or anyone else going through so much eye make up, Some people might like a particular color and use that more often than the others but this palette gives you a broad base of hues to choose from.I recommend buying the other palettes as well to have a variety.

I like this palette. The colors are very pigmented and blend out well. I'm giving it 4 stars because the colors just weren't right for my skin tone. They are on the gray side of the spectrum, which makes my (olive) skin tone look a little washed out. Hopefully this will be a better palette when I have a little more color on my skin in the summer months. I may give to a friend who has a more suitable complexion for this palette.

These colors are so pretty and they are very pigmented. I only wish they worked on my skin tone. I am dark complexion and the colors weren't good for me over all, other than the white and pink. The colors worked better on my daughter who is medium fair complexion and it such a sweet look.Overall NYX did not fell in this pallet.

(Sister posting) color pay off is not as intense as is usual with NYX products. I have tried applying with both primer and NYX base in white. The pink only lasts for a couple of hours, and all the colors fade throughout the day so I generally try to build up quiet a bit darker than I would normally just so it will stay at a nice level of color. I recieve many compliments throughout the day, however.

Daughter loved it - colours were perfect and application was excellent

These shadows are ok. They weren't as pigmented as I thought they would be. However, if your going for a soft neutral look they do work perfectly for that
