Beadsmith Nylon Chain Nose Pliers Are High Quality & Come with Pair of Replacement Covers
I have used the Beadsmith Double Nylon Chain Nose Pliers several times now working with 26-22 gauge wire doing Kumihimo braiding. I find the nylon covers are protecting the colored coated copper wire. The pliers do help to straighten the wire out. The pliers did come with a replacement pair of nylon covers as listed in product description. Some previous reviewers mentioned they have gotten the pliers with the screws that hold on the nylon covers, came through the nylon covers and thus defeating the purpose of the covers protecting the wire when using the pliers. The pair I received, the covers were fully screwed on and in the screws were in their correct places. Like my husband and I were talking when buying tools that you will use over and over, it is best to buy the name brand tools that are known for there quality. Cheaper brands often turn out to be cheap knockoffs that are more likely to break or not be up to the specs you need. Also companies who their names are associated with quality and their name is know in various areas are often more likely to replace a flawed or damage tool that comes from a company that you don't know the name or name isn't easily recognizable. Beadsmith is one of the 2-3 companies that I am aware of that jewelry and other hobbyist usually buy their smaller hand tools from. I own several of Beadsmith tools that I use in my jewelry making and I find the tools to be of high quality.

Great quality nylon pliers
I am not a jeweler, I don't even wear jewelry. But being a tinkerer, I often find the need for some type of pliers that will not scratch or damage the fragile item(s) I am working with. Gone are the days of attempting to use some type of fabric or cloth between the pliers and the item. These are nice pliers. Fit nicely in the hand and function very smoothly. The nylon tips are soft and deform easily so be gentle with them and don't use them for unintended purposes. The tips are replaceable though, so if you damage yours, as I did mine, you can just pop in a new set of tips. They are easily replaced and each is held in with a single Phillips head screw. The quality of these pliers, as with the other Beardsmith pliers I own, is excellent. I have no real cons to list. Buy with confidence.

Arrived Broken
Before I could even use the pliers, I noticed that both nylon pieces had big cracks in them. I had to use the replacement pieces before I ever even used the pliers! Also, they were much smaller than I thought they would be. I received the replacement pliers in the mail and they are broken even worse than the first pair I received.

I Can Now Adjust My Glasses at Home!
I use these nylon jawed pliers to adjust my eye glass frames. They work perfectly! Update: I have found that even though these jaws are nylon, which is of course much softer than steel, they are still very hard and have a very sharp edge. When I heated up my glasses frames with tap water to adjust them, I discovered that I had put a little cut in the frame with my bending action. To fix this, I took a some 600 grit sandpaper, and just took off the very sharp outside edges of these nylon jaws. No more marks.

Great jewelry hobby tool
Replaced a pair of cheaper pliers with these and so far they hold up and work well.

Double Nylon Jaw Chain Nose Pliers Tool for Wire Bending from Beadsmith
I was researching E-Cig coil making and ran across a jewelry website that explained how these pliers saved time and money while working with wire. After using them for a few Coil builds, I was convinced right away. These pliers also saves that part of wire that has kink's in it by straightens the wire with ease. Yes I give them 5 stars for the griping effect and the ability to straighten out wire.

Absolute junk! Very irritated with poor quality!
Its brand new!!! I used it to straighten one thin dead soft copper wire 22 gauge half round. HR is half the size of 22 gauge so its very thin. After a few passes, one plastic jaw came off cracked in half. When you try to put it back you realize the screw won't hold it. Furthermore, the jaws are very narrow. This is not a chain nose pliers its supposed to be thick and padded for wire straightening. Really furious that this junk is being sold under a brand name on Amazon. Rubbish product! This is going right back. Do not buy this. Try pliers at Home Depot for DIY. Might have more luck.

The other nylon jaw had cracked already in the package. There were two replacement jaws in the package, but it would've been nice to save those for later.

These make light work of straightening thicker gauge wires. I use them for wire work in jewellery - wire-wrapping, wire weaving - where you need to compress to tighten and at the same time leave no marks. I have an old pair that I’ve used for years which came with a set of various pliers but I needed to upgrade and so bought these. Early days yet I know but these do feel stronger than my old ones and Beadsmith are a good name.
