Archway Home Style Original Dutch Cocoa Cookies, 8.75 Oz ( Pack of 3)

I bought 3 boxes of these Archway Dutch Cocoa cookies to make an “Icebox Zebra Cake” for my unsuspecting guests on Christmas Eve (2023)! I had never made this ‘cake’, which is a retro recipe, made from these dark, intensely chocolate cookies, and homemade whipped cream, and can be assembled, (Thankfully), a day before! It requires no cooking, so those of you with limited time or oven space, can see the advantage! The cookies are ‘sandwiched’ with the whipped cream, assembled on a plate sideways, and then completely covered with the remaining whipped cream, and refrigerated overnight! I’m so glad I doubled the recipe! The result was an absolutely beautiful presentation due to the multi-layered ‘torte’ effect when sliced, and everyone wanted to know HOW I MADE THAT CAKE! The cookies are Rich Dutch Chocolate, and delicious alone, but in this, they absorb more moisture from the cream, and the result is Wonderful! These cookies will please most chocoholics who enjoy the richness of semisweet chocolate! I admit, these cookies are pricey, (probably because Dutch Dark/Black Cocoa is expensive), but they are, in my opinion, worth it! Yes, I recommend them!

Smaller cookie than I remember. Flash back to earlier years. Still tastes good. Just sad to see the smaller size.

When i can find the Dutch Cocoa Archway cookies i buy 3 or 4 boxes..I only like this cookie and its going on 15 or so years..What i love about them is that they are a bit chewy..I received the 3 boxes after being delayed a couple of weeks and was so excited, cause couldn't find them anywhere where i live. Got my self some milk, and dived into eating several.. Unfortunately they were very dry like almost stale. Not the least bit chewy like others ive had over the years..Maybe a bad batch, i don't know. They were non refundable, so i wrote to the company explaining the above..They asked for all the info..Gave them phone number, and order number..Couldnt find my order..They asked for more..Gave them phone, order number, email address, and tracking number. STILL couldnt locate order. Then they asked for a screen shot..That was it for me..Will not order ever again.

Love these and can't find them in my local stores.

Used to love these, all 3 boxes had expired dates and were dry and stale! So disappointed. will not purchase again.
