A great read!
I got this book and immediately inhaled it! I'm halfway through and it gets better as I turn the pages. The story is not only interesting, but moving as well, and you can't wait until they nail the culprit. I love the writing style. Some authors can't keep a straight narrative and jump back and forth in time making it confusing. That is not the case here. All in all, a very absorbing, well-written account. I would buy more books from this author.

I thought this book was excellent. I hope the author will write more true crime books. While reading the book it made me wish there had been someone to help this man with his money when he won the lottery. If you are a fan of true crime or even like suspense rush out and buy this book. The only thing I would of liked to know is what happened to the others after the crime, how is Abraham's Mom and children?? Also Mr. Smith??

Very good but...
This book was very interesting and different but it was full of very vulgar language!!! It would have gotten a 5 were it not for the terrible language!

Keep your guard way up
Sad story about a lottery winner, who obviously did not know that this old world if filled with menacing characters, and who did not have the ability to enjoy the large amount of case he won. They say everyone wants to be your friend when you get lucky, and in his case, regrettably, he found one particular person who basically took over his world. The book looses steam rather rapidly, once the reader grasps the concept that this person was taken advantage by this other one, and that becomes painfully clear in the very early pages so I am not really ruining any part of the book. This is the kind of book that can be read in one sitting, but the singular story being told should be a warning to all who tend to trust people out of the blue. Whatever the reasons were, the lucky winner did not seem to lucky in the end. 3.5 Stars.

IF YOU WIN THE LOTTERY--DON'T TELL ANYBODY!!!!!
I was so appalled about what happened to this poor lottery winner, I promised myself that if I ever win a lottery jackpot I WILL REMAIN ANONYMOUS! What Dee Dee Moore did to poor Abraham Shakespeare was bad enough, but the way his "friends" came after him for "Loans" made me SICK. I love this author's writing style and I plan to search to see if she's written other books. Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. I even read a few lines in my car while sitting at a red light the other day. Such a sad but interesting story. I first heard about this case on the Information Discovery channel--I am a die hard ID Addict so I get really caught up in the documentaries. Most of them have me screaming at the TV, this one brought tears to my eyes...

No surprises.
Ummmm, the story line was pretty apparent early on into the read. The information about the perpetrator went on and on. The person who went undercover to find out who caused the murder was interesting, however I kept waiting for some surprises, but they never came. Usually when I read a book, I can't stop reading if it's good. However, I had to read it for about 2 weeks, off and on, because it just didn't hold my interest. Sorry.

A Great Read!
This is an amazing book. The author really knows how to weave a story together. The deep dives into the lives of Greg Smith and Dee Dee more were fascinating. I couldn't wait to come home at night and continue reading. EXCELLENT!
