This stuff is great. I just ordered one more package of it ...
This stuff is great.I just ordered one more package of it to (which will total four packages) complete the job of insulating my fuel tank against heat here in the Arizona desert. So far it has really worked. On my 1985 Mazda RX7 GSL-SE, the factory somehow thought it smart to have the fuel tank under the car and right next to the exhaust!. Not so good. So, in very hot weather, the fuel would actually boil in the tank. I mean really boil. In 100 degree+ weather when I'd go to get gas, when I took off the fuel cap it would literally blow off and gush a gallon or so of fuel out at me and on the ground. You'd hear the remaining fuel bubbling and boiling to the point you couldn't put more fuel in until it settled down. Also, I would get stuck (vapor lock) on occasion. It's been over 100+ degrees every day since I covered the tank with this and, so far, no more boiling and bubbling. It works exactly as advertised. I'm ordering one more sheet as the three packages were not quite enough to completely cover the tank areas I needed to, but more for appearance than function since you can see the tank from behind the car.It just plain seems to work. Not cheap, but so far worth every penny. I haven't needed to cover the top of the tank, just the bottom and sides so, as in my case where the tank is out in the open, you should be able to do the job without dropping the tank off the car. IMPORTANT: Be sure you clean the surfaces where you're going to stick the adhesive backing of the material very well before sticking it on. Otherwise it won't attach well over grease/oil. Also, the adhesive backing is VERY sticky, so measure and plan out where you're going to attach it before you take off the clear plastic sheeting that covers the adhesive. Otherwise it may stick where you don't want it too.

Great product, easy to use, great bond adhesive.
We have a RZR and found that in the summer with the full windshield on, the heat inside was bad. We disassembled as much as we could and wrapped all the aluminum radiator tubes from radiator back to motor. We also applied this heat shield to the under side of most of the interior panels. We also reached up from the underside and applied heat shield to center condoles and wrapped cup holders. We took the RZR for a test ride and saw an immediate reduction in heat and it is much quieter. Engine temp was 184’, with heat gun, back radiator hose was about 140’, heat gun read 95’ on wrapped aluminum tubes inside RZR, when measured before panels were re-installed. We found the product to be very easy to work with. One reviewer said sticky side came off with the peal off backing, this never occurred. We found the easiest way to work with this was to cut about 5x8” strips, removed the backing and reapplied film backing, as most of the wrapping had to be done from under the RZR. Very easy to install, adhesive was very strong. The interior panels are made of plastic, the adhesive stuck to those as well without any problem. Another reviewer said hard to cut, another said wear gloves and eye protectors, we found none of these to be the case. This is a great product, and most of the “we” in applying this to our RZR was me, and I am a 66 yr old woman. So if I had no problem, the guys shouldn’t either.

Great product, awesome quality.
I wrapped the outside of my cold air intake heat shield with this thing, as well as the throttle body silicone hose that runs next to the head, today @ 103 degrees my intake temps where 5 degrees cooler than usual. Sticks to everything and anything. Update: 6/25/17 I ordered more, I made a lexan scoop that routes air right into my intake system, it sits behind the grille. The scoop has the radiator right behind it and while the lexan supports the heat radiated by the radiator it was definitely getting pretty hot during the last few days that we have seen over 121 degrees here in Phoenix, I wrapped the back of my scoop with this, also wrapped other spots of my intake system. The results are amazing, if my outside ambient air temps are over 121 degrees, imagine the temperature inside the engine bay, well, after driving around in a very hot day my intake and the area where it sits is way cooler than the engine bay, by over 17 degrees. This stuff reflects heat really well. I like it.

It's pricey, but it's awesome.
Used this on the inside of my 2008 Grizzly 700 panels to shield the exhaust heat which in the summer gets really hot and painful when I'm pulling logs. I cleaned the panel with purple power degreaser and dried it before applying. It sticks very well to the clean fiberglass and has reduced the heat I'd like to say at least 90%. Very pleased with the results of this

Works well, sticks well.
Used this inside a set of fiberglass and carbon fiber fairings in spots where the engine and exhaust are close enough to cause hot spots and burning. Perfect. It cuts easy and forms to the complicated shapes on the panels nicely. It was said this wouldn't stick well to the rougher inner surface of fiberglass and carbon fiber. I took precautions in prep because of this by being sure all grease and oil was removed. I also used small roller to press the material in to the panel. It's been a few weeks now and there is no sign of lifting anywhere. It seems to adhered pretty well. I also sealed around the edges with the 2" cool foil tape, but I probably didn't need to. How does it work? It does what it's supposed to! There is a section of carbon fiber belly pan on my bike that runs very close to the exhaust and it was getting super hot. This stuff makes it so I can put my hand on it even after running in the garage to set up the fuel injection (no cooling air flow from riding). Prior to that, I was unable to touch it due to the heat. Recommended, just be sure to prep the surface well.

Good Product; but the Shipping Time!
The product works great, sticks well, cuts well and is flexible. However, do not believe that it will arrive the next day or in 2 days if you are a prime member. I have ordered this twice and they will not even ship it out until AFTER it was supposed to be delivered. Then apologize for it running late like it is the delivery personnel who are to blame. At least the other sellers are honest that it will take a week or more to get to you.
