Medusa White Anchovy Fillets, 200g

I got these in the early spring when weather was still cool. They came still nicely chilled. AWESOME boquerones. I found that buying three jars at a time made the shipping economical, but these are a treat. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a snack for me was discovered by my adventurous eaters at five and seven years, and I now have to begrudgingly share my stash with two precious eaters. Seriously, I like good, fresh anchovies, and I will definitely buy these again. I will probably wait until there is more cool weather though.

Delicious! I too, have been searching for a product like this. Very happy I found these, but there's the but. Is the product safe to travel in warm weather? Does the product sit in warehouses and trucks that are not temperature regulated. The product arrived with no icepack. Not sure I'm going to risk getting sick. I agree that this treat is expensive enough to be packed to keep it COLD!

I am a Caesar salad aficionado and had a Caesar at a restaurant that actually surpassed mine- the secret- I deduced- was the white anchovies. I always use the regular inexpensive kind. Splurged on this and actually did not think my Caesar was as good as usual.

This is a great product. I just don’t recommend ordering from Amazon. These are refrigerated items and it said on description that it comes refrigerated but arrived room temperature so didn’t want to risk eating it. Recommend in store purchase of this product.

arrived sooner than expected, packaging was good , product was great I will again during cold time of year, I don't think they will make the trip in warmer months????

After a beautiful Caesar salad in a fine Palm Springs restaurant, I was on a mission to replicate the recipe. White anchovies were a must and I was able to find these on Amazon. The packaging was not perfect for an item that needed to be kept cool but did not seem to compromise the quality.

Like Lawyer Reader said in an earlier review, these things arrived at room temperature. Shipping essentially doubles the price of these little fish, so you might assume that they get shipped in a reliable and safe way. Not so. It comes in a small box with little insulation and a couple of (melted) ice packs. I'm going to eat them anyway. I'll update this review when (if) I survive, but when one orders high-end food products, one expects first-rate handling of the product by the shipper. I'll be looking somewhere else for my next anchovy fix.Update.....Well, I had four of these little things a couple of hours ago. They are very good, and I'm still alive. I've had better in restaurants, but these are better than any I've bought in a store or ordered online. Still, I won't order them again because of the poor shipping practices.
