No after taste, grittiness, clumping or extra sweetness.
Dissolves smoothly in juices, coffee, yogurt. No after taste, grittiness, clumping or extra sweetness. I prefer to add my own cocoa, or fruit for flavor.

Less expensive than their protein isolate product, but not by as much as you'd think.
I just discovered this product after having used NOW Whey Protein Isolate. It turns out, this product is denser than the isolate. 5 lbs of protein concentrate has 69 one-ounce servings whereas 5 lbs of the isolate has 82 one-ounce servings. so, pound for pound the less expensive concentrate is 72% the price of the protein isolate, but each serving is 84% the price of the isolate. Protein Concentrate is roughly 64 cents and the Isolate is roughly 75 cents. So, basically $3 difference each month between them, with one serving a day.The Isolate is a little easier going down. This lesser expensive form has more of a powdered milk taste, whereas the isolate form is less so. That being said, I've discovered adding a dropperful of almond extract masks that powdered milk taste (without needing to add sugar.) I actually had done that for a while with the isolate form, but got to where I was used to the taste and didn't bother. Maybe that will be the case with this lesser expensive form. If I don't get used to the taste, I'll probably switch back to the isolate (as long as the price difference between servings remains low.)EDIT: I originally gave this 4 stars, but realized afterwards that I base that on a simple comparison with a similar product by the same company. Compared to protein supplement products overall, either of the these NOW unsweetened and unflavored protein supplements are great. They don't have a bunch of extra empty calories, are relatively palatable. I'd rather save those empty calories found in other products and have a REAL milkshake!!!

Unflavored
The taste is fine. I like that it doesn't have any sweetness. It is less east to dissolve that I would hope when just using a spoon to stir, but is fine in a blender. Have not tried a shaker cup. I think the isolate version might dissolve a bit more easily and has 1 extra gram of protein per serving, but for me this version is a better value.

Good cheap clean protein but flavor can be better
I don't mind the flavor of this--my gf says is gritty and doesn't taste good. Good for people who just want protein and don't mind the texture.

Great price. Good results. Terrible taste!
The reviews on this were almost all positive and most of them said the taste wasn't too bad. I couldn't disagree more! The taste is horrendous. The label suggests that it can be drank with just water or even juice, but when I tried those I could barely get the stuff down. That said, the product works, and the price is amazing, so if you don't mind guzzling chalk with one of the worst aftertastes ever, then this is for you. Personally, I'm now willing to pay a few extra bucks for something that is somewhat palatable.

Great way to get protein into food
This is a great product all around. But I bought it specifically to sneak protein into a family member's diet.At 100 years old, they do not always want a protein packed meal. This powder disappears in mashed potatoes and oatmeal and other high carb foods. Note the powder is not clear, but has a opaque milky appearance. I also slip it into smoothies and milkshakes without paying for those pre-made drinks. When I'm in a hurry, I'll even use it for a energy boosting drink and have even mixed it with fruit punch (out of desperation) and it tasted great.
