Have been curios about what Mao actually said. For one man to have galvanised a nation the size of China is almost beyond belief There have ben some amazing Emperors who have shaped China over the centuries - but non more so than the ruthless revolutionary Chairman Mao. And I have seen his Little Red Book being studied in so many poor countries. I had never bought one so I thought it was time I read what he actually said.

The content is nice and informative, hence why I didn't give this product 1 star.But this is yet another example of an independent publisher trying to churn low quality prints and rip readers off. The material used is quite poor, the slightest amount of moisture in the air makes the pages curl up and bend. The book has been in my flat for a few weeks and it looks as if it had been submerged in water at some point and dried. The quality of the cover is pretty bad too, the images used are low res. Either get this as a pdf or spend a bit more for a proper print, don't buy it from here.

the book has tons of typos randomly, no one couble checked the translation. it is also just massive, so much for a "little red book", wouldnt it also be cheaper to make a smaller one? the extra size is not used either as there is just blank space near the edges so the text would not even need resizing.

The more we say about the contents of this book is less. Chairman Mao is like a lighthouse for the ongoing struggle in India to make New Democratic Revolution possible. Now let's come to book cover, binding, paper and print quality it's pretty decent. I bought this book from INFINITE BOOKS. It's a small business, do buy from them. They've variety of books on different subjects. The way they have maintained communication while the order was in transit untill the time I received it was very smooth. Book is exactly what I expected, a good collection

Mao’s Little Red Book is superb. Some of Mao’s more global Quotations include: All erroneous ideas, all poisonous weeds, all ghosts and monsters, must be subjected to criticism; in no circumstance should they be allowed to spread unchecked. However, the criticism should be fully reasoned, analytical and convincing, and not rough, bureaucratic, metaphysical or dogmatic. Both dogmatism and revisionism run counter to Marxism. Marxism must certainly advance; it must develop along with the development of practice and cannot stand still. It would become lifeless if it remained stagnant and stereotyped. However, the basic principles of Marxism must never be violated, or otherwise mistakes will be made (pg. 39 in chapter 2). People of the world, be courageous, dare to fight, defy difficulties and advance wave upon wave. Then the whole world will belong to the people. Monsters of all kinds shall be destroyed (pg. 159 of chapter 7). As far as our own desire is concerned, we don’t want to fight even for a single day. But if circumstances force us to fight, we can fight to the finish (pg. 165). The oppressed peoples and nations must not pin their hopes for liberation on the ‘sensibleness’ of imperialism and its lackeys (pg. 167 of chapter 7). Knowledge is a matter of science, and no dishonesty or conceit whatsoever is permissible. What is required is definitely the reverse – honesty and modesty (pg. 583 of chapter 33).British Parliament member John McDonnell intelligently quoted out of Mao’s Little Red Book, “We must learn to do economic work from all who know how, no matter who they are. We must esteem them as teachers, learning from them respectfully and conscientiously. We must not pretend to know when we do not know (pg. 583).” Ayn Rand could have utilized this Mao Quotation?
