Very pleased with the size and design of this bin. It fits perfectly in the space, operates well and looks great.

Excellent and boxed really well

The build quality is decent and overall it's quite good. Obviously this is for those that need a bin to fit into a small space. We use this in our kitchen to squeeze in next to the washing machine. After a few weeks everything seems okay. The mechanism is solid, it's easy to clean and the storage capacity is better than you think. The only downside we've come across is that the bin slides around, so when pressing the pedal it would slide around all over the place. I bought an anti-slip mat which eliminated this problem entirely, but I think they could have provided either some grips on the bottom or add more weight. Overall fairly happy with this :) EDIT - after about 12 months the pedal broke as did the pedal mechanism. I have fortified and fixed the mechanism, but there's no way to reattach the pedal again so we've had to remove the lid entirely :(

Well made and very sleek, highly recommend

I’m writing this after 18 months of having bought the bin The positives are that it looks great, easy to clean, has a perfect capacity and I love that it’s deep, not wide. Negatives are the foot pedal fell off after about 6 months. That’s really disappointing considering we went with the brand because we assumed high quality. We could glue it on, so I didn’t think it was worth returning (plus it would have just been chucked on a scrap yard somewhere and I didn’t want to create more landfill)

this is a very good quality product easy to remove the inner bin for easy cleaning it has a soft close lid and very good value for money

I bought this bin because I’m on my own now and the old 40 litre bin would only get half full before the smell would drive me to empty it. This product is totally substandard. The metal is very thin and will dent easily; so cheaply made they couldn’t be bothered to put a bottom on it; has an internal plastic”bin” which fits so tightly to the metal exterior that it is nigh on impossible to put a bin liner bag in it (and who wants to have to wash a bin out all the time if you don’t use one?); with a pedal mechanism that is so flimsy that you can feel it bend under your foot and will break very quickly; and worst of all, with a pedal mechanism that won’t actually lift the lid! I am now forced to open it by hand which rather negates the main reason for wanting a bin with a pedal opening. Doing my bit for the environment I had dutifully cut up the packaging to fit it in the recycling bin outside and so can’t return it, leaving me with this turkey. Whatever you do, don’t waste your money on this overpriced joke shop novelty item. The name Black and Decker once used to give some assurance of at least some level of quality- not any more!
