Motorola Shell for Moto G - Retail Packaging - Violet

Snapping the case on makes the phone look brand new. It does not look like an accessory. It actually blends into the phone because it's a shell not a case. $15 might not be worth it for a third-party case but I don't feel bad about spending $15 for this shell.Pros (White Shell).○ Slight matte finish. (Very smooth with a slight rubbery feel)○ It's a seamless transition between the shell and the phone's body, camera, flash and headphone jack. No bulk or additional space whatsoever.○ No fingerprints (barely visible) unlike like the stock black case.○ It retains the convenient Motorola dimple on the back which many cases get rid of.○ A beautiful bright white. I can't speak for the other colors.Cons:○ Some say colors like the turquoise are not very saturated or look off-color○ Price is a little steep for a back cover which offers no protection from falls.An alternative to this case is the  Rearth Ringke Slim Better Grip Premium Hard Case . This product offers a bit more protection and adds some grip. It is still a slim case and barely adds any bulk to your phone. It offers some protection for the edges of your phone, however if you want real protection from falls then you need a bulky case. This case is also only $10.99 at the time of this review and it actually includes a screen protector. The only downside is that because it offers protection to the edges of the phone it is not seamless like this Motorola case. The edges of the Rearth case clasp onto the phones edges and are visible when looking at your phone's screen. The added benefit is a much better grip which will reduce phone drops. They are both good products it's up to you what kind of look you want.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Definitely an improvement in the way my phone looks. However, keep in mind that looks are the only improvement you are getting with this purchase. Despite the price I will still be giving it 5/5 stars as I'm not disappointed with any aspect of it. Sure they could have included a screen protector or offered a more competitive price but those are just nitpicks. And besides it's direct from Motorola.

you'll see most reviews here are very positive like mine but a few not so much and it isn't because of the back plate rather the problem lies with end users not reading the instructions that came with (their phones or this back plate) or taking the time say to watch an online vid etc. you MUST do as instructed. from the top of the back plate push down e.g. "flat" and while pushing you need to also push it in a downward direction and then concurrently put your finger nail between the oem cover and the body of the phone and starting at the top the clips will pop off. could motorola have made it easier for us to remove it absolutely but such is life. remember it takes a good bit of force and to be honest even i was worried i might break the clips inside while prying upwards. that said i have done this three times to date have had no issues getting it off and then back on. these plates aren't copies these are the oem covers. i was very happy with mine, ordered white as it came with the black back. i kept the packaging too as it works very nicely to store the case back you aren't using in the interim. needless to say if anyone has any issues removing the back cover make your life easier, stop and take a moment and watch any number of tech video reviews of the moto g or watch one of many online reviews for the moto g at you tube which all provide easy tutorials as to how,...

The color's fantastic, it snaps on, fits like a glove, and feels sturdy. Only thing I miss is the texture/material. If you own a Moto G, you're familiar with the back it came with. It's boring black, but it also has a pleasant, kind of soft rubbery coating. I really really love that, just wanted it in yellow. This is a definite plain plastic. Though it doesn't feel cheap, it's not the same thing. Still, I would buy it again!

This is a comparison of performance as a phone, with some observations on software.First of all, the (old) Captivate came with added/changed software from AT&T (ATT).The Moto G is a Verizon network phone that has very little added software.The old Captivate sort of worked with my existing gmail and other Google based accounts.The new Moto G works seamlessly with my existing gmail, google drive, and other Google based accounts.The old Captivate hung and had numerous glitches when I tried to use it; sometimes just stopped and had to be rebooted.The new Moto G never hangs. It has slowed a little now with fairly full complement of programs, many more than I ever ran on my Captivate. Slower is better, generally, because it has been lightning fast from the start. Occasionally if you are loading a text-intensive post, such as a summary of the end-of-the-season developments on _Scandal_,, it will take 20 or 30 seconds to load.The old Captivate got worse and worse, with programs behaving badly. A friend and I called it the cell phone from hell, for its ability to wake up in the middle of the night with weird sounds, its interruptions of phone calls, and many other bad behaviors.The new Moto G has one Verizon program that just doesn't work; I am sure I can replace the funcitonality of that program with something else.Yes, you can now get a Verizon Galaxy 5 for close to $200 on contract, not a bad deal, with a two year contract.And Yes, you can get a Verizon Moto G for $99 with no annual contract -- but with a seven month payment requirement.The Captivate lasted a month before it started causing problems.The Verizon Moto G has lasted almost five months with no problems.I bought the ATT Captivate from Radio Shack. Their support varied, but was always sympathetic. I always got courteous service from ATT stores.I got ignorant, offensive, and prejudiced treatment from the nearby Verizon store where I first tried to buy my Moto G. I got superb treatment from the Verizon staff supporting the Moto G, when I ultimately purchased the Moto G anyway. Any questions I have had have been easily resolved online.If you want the latest and greatest camera to go with your cell phone, you should look further, probably to the Moto X. The Moto G is certainly adequate for people who, like me, are not really into taking lots of photos or insisting on "fixing" snapshots.Otherwise, if you want a phone that wakes you up in the morning, that has readable text, that renders websites so you can read them, that deals with the Web pretty well even for aging eyes, if you like to pay cash, and could use a monthly phone charge that's $45 or $50, go with the Moto G from Verizon.That said, for lower monthly charges, wait a little longer this year, until the LTE version is available from T-Mobile and other LTE providers. And guess how badly ATT will screw up the simply wonderful, modest, Moto G LTE -- with its proprietary software.

Cette protection semble authentique.Le M arrière est argenté.La coque s'adapte totalement. La texture est plus lisse que la coque noire d'origine mais ce n'est pas dérangeant. Il y a de ce fait moins de traces de doigts.La couleur jaune donne un rendu vraiment sympa et donne plus de peps que le noir d'origine. Super pour l'été.Il est indiqué "Citron vert" alors qu'en réalité cela tire davantage sur le jaune (assez ressemblant à l'image). Cela me convient tout à fait.Toutefois, il faut savoir qu'il ne s'agit pas d'une coque de protection, mais bien une coque arrière qui remplace celle de base.J'utilise ce produit depuis plus de deux ans et alternance avec ma coque d'origine.Peu de rayures sont à constater. I bought this cover for a 2.5 year old Motog 1 gen. One of the best OE covers available in market at this price. Color is a personal choice, i already had a black & a white (of course came with the phone) & wanted to try red this time. A must buy if you are looking for a original cover. Got a free Screen Protector too.

I wanted to replace the stock black shell that my Moto G came packaged with and white was what I wanted. You can't go wrong with this OEM shell. It's as white as can be and has remained so in the two years that I've owned it. Fits perfectly and makes me happy.
