It is common practice in the hobby to protect existing tank inhabitants against parasites and diseases by dipping new corals in a solution to rid them of any potential danger. It is my opinion that this product is the best on the market for this purpose. Not only will it rid your new addition of any harmful pests, when used as directed, it safely causes the coral to increase slime production. Which is the first line of defense against disease.However, in my observation, it does not kill all organisms. It merely disorients and causes them to fall off the coral so as to not introduce them to your system. I have treated corals and came back a few hours later to discard the solution to find small brittle stars, bristle worms, spaghetti worms, one 1" mantis shrimp... moving around. The mantis shrimp lived for several months in my QT before it disappeared.Recently I had an issue with a Firefly Chalice that I have had for a while dying off. I clipped off the dead portions and dipped the remaining pease. Within days, the exposed skeleton was covered in new flesh. Within a few weeks new eyes are forming and its growing faster than before.Dex

I have used with two new corals (brain coral & Goniopora) and WOW... the Brain Coral released a HUGE 6 inch +/- MF ugly weird worm. it may sounds expensive BUT totally pay off just for one time if you avoid to introduce a pest in your clean tank.

Fantastic product. I love it.. It kills almost all the bad stuff before they may enter your tank with the reefs..I strongly recommend to use it.
