SENNELIER Artist Oil Sticks Wood Box Set/36

Colors are gorgeous !!!! Very saturated and clear. The box they come in is really not practical, but for shipping and value - this assortment is great. I don't like the paper labels that you have to peel off, very messy, and the sticks are very soft so you have to use them with that in mind. A luxury purchase, but an awesome kit. Just a fun note: I had sorted them into a plastic tackle box to make storage and use easier, and was letting the plastic air out on my front porch - the pack rats decided they liked the blue colors and took them all out - I found 3 of the 4 blues and ended up missing the Cerulean. So don't tempt the pack rats!

I found the oil sticks to be somewhat dry, something I didn't expect, and for the price downright aggravating. Should have known based on the price. Next time I will choose a different brand.

These are great--so much fun to play with! The sticks do form a thin film of dried paint, but once you peel that away, the color is rich and creamy. Mine certainly aren't dry, as the previous reviewer found. The lacquered wooden box is a nice touch.

Anything from this paint-maker is sublime. These oil sticks are superior.

When I read Picasso made Sennilier create these new version of oil pastels..I knew I had to indulge and buy. Im a flat broke artist and used to use student grade products to create art. Never again. You get what you pay for. These sticks are very high quality and smooth as butter esp when warm. They smell like oil paint and are thick and creamy. I want Sennilier to release more color sets past 36. Do the them the same way you use pastels and enjoy the mess and the boldness of color eps in mixed medias.

These are the normal size, not super big. Lovely oil sticks but should be cheaper and accurately advertised.
