A flavorful and quality rice for your family.
This is a long-grain rice with excellent consistency. It had a great flavor and a firm texture when cooked according to the directions provided by Lundberg. From bag to table in only 25 minutes, it is easy to prepare. I use chicken broth instead of water when I cook for my family. This adds a touch of additional flavor and a light golden color to the cooked product. When the product arrives, I move it to large glass jars for storage. It saves me money over buying smaller bags, and the glass jars protect the grain from insects and vermin. If you have room to store the jars, this is a great way to ensure you always have rice on hand.

Excellent Rice!
I ordered this rice previously and found it to be excellent in every way so I had to order more once I ran out. Quality, texture, taste, ease of preparation, organic - happy with all of these. I highly recommend it.

Consistent High Quality
I have purchased this rice three times already. Yes, we love rice in our family. We are picky about what we eat. Lundberg has been very consistent. I was reluctant at first but it arrived in great condition. When I opened the bag, it smells fresh. Sometimes even in stores you get a bag of brown rice that has some musty smell. But that has never happened with Lundberg. So it passes the freshness test. The rice appearance is very pleasant. They are uniform and clean. I have not seen any impurities in the rice. It is very easy to wash. A couple of rounds of rinse is all it needs. We cook it in our zojirushi rice cooker on Brown Rice setting. It comes out perfect. It is fluffy and tastes great. I meshed some up for my 8 month old a couple days ago so it was a bit more sticky and he loved it too. So, it certainly passed the taste test.It is organic which is important because rice is one of the most polluted crops. Organic is the way to buy rice. Healthy, check!Price is great on Amazon. It is cheaper than the bulk organic rice At Wholefoods. In fact, I saw them refilling the bin in the store one time and they were pouring from a bag of Lundberg! So this rice is of great value. For all those reasons, we have this on auto ship. If you love good rice, you will love this product.

I'm willing to pay extra for the flavor and texture of this rice.
I have an IBD called Microscopic Colitis. Long story short, I can only eat/tolerate white rice and chicken. It's been almost two years now, and I have not reached remission or been able to tolerate other food.I've tried many different white rice brands and varieties, including Different Jasmine White Rice, but this one is superior to all. I love this rice. It's also one of the most expensive, but it's worth every penny!!!I cook it 2 to 1 but with just a little extra water. After 30 minutes, I turn off the heat and let it sit for another 10.Perfect rice. I like the creamy texture and sweet nutty flavor.

Wholesome
I love this rice! I have it on repeat! Clean, wholesome, just rice. Definitely expensive but I refuse to use any rice with “additives” or “enrichment”.

Organic rice could be this bad, don't harm you digestive system
Garbage rise, don't be fooled by "grown in California" or "Organic".It is too hard and won't get soft even after soaking. My picture won't tell much except better organic rice from Mt.Shasta CA is whiter.Big difference would be cooking results.Neither soaking nor pressure cooking won't make the rice plump. This is a frightening bad quality rice and it is bad for your digestive system.

I ordered the big, bold, beautiful blue bag
I ordered the largest size for cost savings and I'm pleased. The rice is clean, thank goodness, because it comes in a (double or triple) paper bag, which might tear if not handled properly. It was packed well, though, and I have no complaints. The volume is a lot for me, one person, but I was able to distribute it to a bunch of glass jars which I had been saving, "just in case" I needed them later, and miraculously, everything fit. With the influx of the big, bold, beautiful blue bag, I needed to use up the last bit of rice I had first before refilling the jar, and so now I'm eating the impromptu meal of rice with tempeh and barbecue sauce --it's actually good, and I'm now looking forward to an abundance of meals using this wonderful, organic brown basmati rice. I highly recommend!!! (Make sure you have jars to fit it all in, though).

The organic brown basmati is pretty good. Not quite as good as aged basmati from India though.
I think the smell and taste of the basmati brown rice is good, but for the price, I would prefer the best stuff from India. The basmati I get from India cooks a bit better and has a nuttier smell and flavor. On the other hand though, the India rice is not organically grown. As far as rice grown in the USA, this stuff is about as good as it gets I think.
