A versatile fan
For such a small fan, it has great wind power (without being overly loud). The fan comes out of the box already assembled, with the tightening handle attached with a wire. For people (like me) who who don't read the instructions provided with the fan, the knob looking thing is to loosen/tighten the swivel bolts on the sides of the fan; I keep mine attached so that it's immediately available when needed. The swivel" is a great feature to adjust wind direction, and it's been stable no matter where the fan has been "swiveled. " It is small enough to sit on a table, but also works from the floor. It could be attached to a wall, but there is no remote function, and the on/off is on the back of the fan, so wall mount use could be a hassle (unless it's always on). The wire cage has narrow gaps to help create a safer barrier for small fingers, and there is a wire handle for safe relocating while the fan is on. Overall, this is a solid fan, and good value for the price.

Quiet. Good fan.
The speeds are well chosen. The blades move the air well. A very quiet low speed with good air movement. The high speed moves a lot of air for the low noise level. This small lightweight fan is a good value. Sounds like a well made motor. I like the all metal wire cage and tube frame on rubber pads and the movable clips for cleaning.

Great replacement to 20 year old fan.
I have a 20 year old plastic body larger vortex type fan that I love, but the side gear to adjust the angle stripped out several years ago so I have had to put something behind it to keep it from blowing straight at the ceiling. I don't think things are made as good today as back in the day, and I am pleasantly surprised at how awesome this fan is! It is very quiet and even though it is a few inches smaller than the one it replaced, it actually moves more air. It looks like the gears to rotate the angle are sturdier and I can get to them should there ever be a problem. That is a win-win because it takes up less space and cools better than the one it replaced. Hopefully this will last as long as the old one which still works and is now a garage fan for my son.

Excellent fan...but is it new????
I bought this exact model fan last summer and am still enjoying it this summer. Due to inflation cost of electricity, I decided to buy another fan for another room. I looked for this model fan from Comfort Zone, as it cools a fairly large area and runs well. Of course when set on high, it will sound like a fan. (If you want a totally silent fan, this one is not for you). It has three speeds, which is great! The highest speed works well during the heat of the day to help the circulation of cool air from the air conditioner. I like that as the temperature gets cooler, you can turn it to a lower speed so you don't freeze! Overall, I rate the fan a 5 for me. Again, if you want a quite fan, don't get this one. Looking at the pictures attached...I question whether I received a "new" fan. I have never seen a new product packaged like this. However, the fan works great and I needed it badly, as the heat in West Texas has been in the triple digits!!! I would recommend this model of Comfort Zone fans.

Update: It's 2025 ya'll and this fan is STILL the perfect sleep companion! Five years of smooth, unwanted background noise operation. IF I had to buy a new fan today, this would be it! First of all, i am a fan expert. lifelong fan required sleeping. fans in general have taken a downturn in quality in the last so many years. i've bought multiple units to only be let down 5 weeks into the purchase. strange rattles. squeeks, chirps, whines, etc. im happy to report this dude has been making the most pleasant sound ive experienced in a fan since the 90's. thats an extreme statement from me. im happy. its sounds good. no annoying rings, bumps, squanks or nonsense. its easy to take apart and clean. really. no thirty five screws on plastic. its easy to clean yo. it puts out a fair amount of windage. a fan snob, expert, and critic. im happy with this purchase. i would recommend it if you have issues with vornados of generic box fans.

Perfect sound level! Air is just right. Grandma's house!
This is a awesome fan. Yes it has a noise but the right kind of you can't sleep in silence! I love it. As an insomniac it allows for blocking out the little noises. Reminds me of sleeping at my Mamo's house in comfort. Just enough sound and the air feels just right. Very pleased!! The magnet in the middle was not attached. But love that I can make it my own! You can too! Thank you!

Great little fan, quiet and powerful
Great little fan. I needed to replace an old plastic one that had broken when I took it apart to clean it (plastic pieces snapped) so I wanted a well built metal fan and this one is perfect for me. It’s relatively quiet and pulls a lot of air through even on the low setting. It also looks nice, a touch retro. Keep in mind that it’s a three-prong power cord (needs a grounded outlet) in case you live in a 100 yr old building like I do and there are only two such outlets in your home.
