love it!
I bought these to follow a recipe I have for Tonkatsu. The first time I used regular bread crumbs because I could not find the japanese crumbs locally. I did not think the substitution would matter . It DOES make a differnence in taste and the adherence of the crumbs and the taste they give to the meat are phenemonal. Great texture the egg quality is fantastic and it smells good too. I plan to use it for all my fried meats now. And when you drain the pork chop it is done with it standing upright not flat on the paper towel. That makes a difference too. I will never buy any other bread crum again .

Cheaper alternative
Bought this when the brand we normally get got prohibitively expensive. This seems to be a good quality replacement. My son makes Katatsu with is this product and it works fine.

Crunch perfection!
Best Panko out there. Large bag. Very crisp bite when you bake it for 3 to 5 min at 400F alone on a baking pan lightly sprayed with olive oil before using as a coating!

Crunch
I like the price, and the crunch. First time I got them, better for making a crust than breadcrumbs. Can use different spices to change the flavor. Love as a casserole topping with Parmesan cheese. I will be keeping them in my pantry. I will have to try on fried okra. I know they work for chicken, pork chops, shrimp, casseroles,ONION RINGS.

The price is right!
Kikkoman Panko costs $1.00 an ounce in the 8 oz. box or $.035 and ounce in the 2.5 pound bag. The bag is slender and flattish, and it was easy to find a spot for it in my freezer. When my 8 oz. package is empty, I will use the bulk bag to fill the old foil re-sealable packet that I keep on my freezer door (thawing the bulk first to avoid condensation.) Delighted to find this. I am low sugar and I make cobblers with fruit, and Panko/melted butter for the topping. No sugar added to either. So crispy and tasty.
