I ordered this in November I think of 2016 I was worried it wouldn't be in the authentic Toyota part but it was. A little wax in my upkeep of my 03 Tacoma but I got around to replacing this filter just this week and I went to my local Toyota dealer and pick one up I paid almost $26 for it at my local Toyota dealer . This one here is going to cost me 18 or $19 I'm not really sure, with two day shipping. I'm going to go ahead and order from this place again so I don't put off replacing it at my next interval, and now save me a few bucks too. wonderful! By the way I did do a side-by-side comparison with the one I bought at my dealer and the one from this vendor which I'm pretty sure is a car dealership, and they're both exactly identical the same no ifs ands or buts. Toyota parts through and throughEDIT, just rechecked my old order from 2016, that filter was sold from North Hills Toyota I'm assuming a Toyota dealership, I forget I may have looked it up, this new one that I ordered today is sold by and comes from Amazon ,so I'm going to assume in all good faith, it's genuine Toyota.

Been running a K and N filter but if you over oil it a little too much it can cause a code and you will need to clean the air mass so went back to stock. gas millage went up. ?????? I not sure why but it happen when I install stock filter

Just purchased a 1998 4Runner 3.4L V6 with 130k on it and wanting to see it go another 130k, I've spent the last several days reading up on the 3rd gen 4Runners to figure out what I need to do to make sure that happens. When it came to the air filters, my research said that the OEM is one of the best at keeping dust and junk out of the engine. I drive 3 miles down a dirt road everyday and good filtration is more important to me than trying to get more engine performance.Not much to say about the actual product for now, it got delivered to me at work and I installed it during my lunch break. The plastic frame and the paper media look to be of good quality and it fit snugly. On the way home I stomped on the accelerator a few times but didn't notice any difference in performance, but that is probably because the old filter wasn't that dirty.I wiped down the inside of the intake box and will update this when I change out the filter to note how well it does driving down a dirt road everyday.
