Glass storage containers
I love these. Heavy duty rough for things like rice, noodles, spaghetti noodles, dried lentils and beans. Perfect for my organized pantry. They look lovely and aesthetically pleasing…..and no more crappy plastic!

Good quality, look beautiful in pantry.
I wanted to get rid of plastic containers and buy glass made in the USA and these fit the bill. They look beautiful. Very functional. The only thing I could not use it for was flour because honestly you need a wider mouth to properly scoop it in large quantities if you bake a lot. I did use it for the wheat flour because I don’t use it as much. It’s a little messy for that though when you try to get it out. Otherwise perfect.

Decent Jars
The jars are of thick glass, and the lids are of nice wood and come off perfectly (not too loose, not too difficult to remove). I purchased these to use in my laundry room to hold Nellie's Laundry Soda. The opening is a little too small to be able to scoop comfortably. The opening is only 2 7/8" wide, which is a little snug. The jars are decent and can be used for different types of storage. I'm not sure if the seal would be tight enough to be airtight.

Lovely, heavy-duty display containers
We put our regular use grains (barley, millet, brown basmati rice, steel cut oats) in these - we will probably buy one more set so we can add ones for flax and quinoa. They're lovely, heavy containers, with a pretty decent seal. The containers look great countertop or in open shelves, to add to decor (they're a little expensive for my taste, if I'm just going to put them the cupboard, but it's probably a better idea to get grains that don't get used as quickly out of the light), the lids are very attractive, and the heavy glass is handsome. They can stack, if necessary, but they're tall and heavy, I'd be afraid of knocking them over. The opening is wide enough to get a 1/2 or 1/4 cup measuring cup in, to scoop, or they can be used to pour, but they are a little cumbersome for that because of the weight. Worth the upgrade from keeping grains in the original packaging, for us, anyway.Oh, I estimate they hold probably 3-4 pounds of most grains, we had leftovers in five pound bags we put in.

Great focal point
I turned it into a non live aquarium. Air tight needs zero maintenance!

Terrible quality. It has a cheap plastic gasket that does not make for a great seal and in my case had several nicks and gauges in it. The lid is made of 5 separate pieces of thin, low quality wood glued together with even low quality glue. My lids had several cracks in them and one of the sides just fell off when I pulled it off the gasket. Save yourself the disappointment of having to open this up and look at it for the first time and keep shopping

Best We Can Find So Far
These are "ALMOST" perfect.Pros1) Square they are square which makes optimizing space/storage ideal2) Bamboo lid3) Glass, thick sturdy4) Clear glass so easy to see and identify contents5) StackableCons1) Very expensive2) Plastic Gasket3) Lid not larger than glass bodyFor us its all about space saving, visibility, and healthier materials. These are great for dry pantry items, (sugar, salt, whole spices etc.) that are used frequently say turn over would 12 months or sooner, but ideally 1 - 3 months, in our humble opinion. We are among those who want as little plastic in our lives as possible. However, most dry food stuffs are packaged in plastic, even organic food items, which makes no sense to us, but we cant stress over what we cant change. So since the plastic gasket which doesnt appear it will contact the food as it sits outside of the mouth of the canister is doable considering we have not found anything that comes close to the features of this canister. However, if Anchor could make the gasket out of silicone or make it an option for consumers to buy replacement gaskets made of silicone that would be ideal. On that note, our only concern is that this plastic gasket might crack and degrade over time as the plastic is very brittle/rigid. Since we plan to use this for items that have a quick turnover and would not suffer if the seal isnt perfect. Also we dont have pest problems so that is not an issue for us. Worse case scenario we could use the canisters without the plastic gasket if replacement gaskets were not available or cost prohibitive. However, if our situation/circumstances ever changed and keeping pests out was a factor, this would not be any option at all. Also we would convert our entire pantry to these canisters if it had silicone gaskets, the price was reasonable/competitive, lid was a solid piece of wood with no glue and the lids were slightly a bit larger to prevent them from hitting each other. As a work around, we will place some sort of buffer, strip of wood, in our pantry cabinet shelves to provide distance between rows of these canisters. However, because of the issues we need to be very conservative in how many we are going to buy. In the meantime we will continue to look for the ultimate canister that meets all our needs.

Happy, purchasing more.
Ordered 8, arrived nicely with no damage in two separate Anchor Hocking boxes. While they are not air tight (almost) I believe they will be fine to store pasta and rice. Happy with quality, and like the square shape that will allow more more in pantry. I will be ordering more for rice and bean storage.

Gracias
