Like this. It doesn't leak dish soap.
I really like this. I have been using Scotch Brite for years. I really like that this one does not leak soap at all like the others do. It is a great value for the money and I like that you hold the button in to release soap in the sponge. It holds the soap and it doesn't leak out. It does a great job cleaning dishes. The sponge is a good quality and it is thick. There isn't any stickiness.

Perfect Dishwand (lasts about 3 years)
The dishwand itself dues a great job in use. No leaks, doesn't waste a ton of soap, easy to refill, easy to hold and use. The pads for this style of dish wand also seem to hold up better than the original version. Durability wise, the one we had lasted about 3 years before the rubber backing where you press to squeeze soap started to peel from the handle. Once a crack opened up, it won't hold pressure to push soap out the head. So we're buying a new one. From a sustainability standpoint, it would be nice if it lasted longer. And maybe we can get more mileage out of it by being more careful with how hard we press. All in all $6-7 every three years isn't too bad!

Fantastic upgrade to the old model; old heads are compatible.
The old model wand had very thin plastic on the head part of the wand, which was prone to breakage after a year, apparently. So we wasted a ton of soap otherwise leading up to the head breaking because the hole was a bit larger than it ought to be. Those issues are (thankfully) non-existent with this model. It has a ketchup bottle-style hole (rubber) that closes up after you touch the dispensing button, eliminating constant leakage and waste. Also, a HUGE plus: you can use your old wand's scrubbing heads, just use a pair of scissors to make a small hole in the sponge (pic related) for the soap to go into (else the soap, with nowhere to go, will tend to run out of the side of the head). I actually prefer them like this, as the new style heads just have a hole, and the soap goes onto the article directly. Using the modified old heads, the soap stays within the sponge, which will 100% save on soap. That, and I don't have to pitch those old hemp fiber heads into the trash (they're great, j/s). Overall construction is fairly solid, and it has a nice grippy rubber coating on it. It just feels right to use, and I forget about it being in my hand while doing dishes. The weight of it is just enough to not feel overly cheap. The part that holds the head onto the wand is seemingly glued in place, so we'll see if it breaks down over time. I haven't refilled the soap wand in 2 weeks of using it, which is great. Amazing product, and compatibility with the old wand heads was a nice touch that they didn't have to do. Recommended 100%.

Soap wand refill heads
These are great! I have tried some less expensive ones and the leak the soap. These don't last forever but quite some time depending on your use and aggression. The don't scratch on plastic but clean well. Enjoy

The best dish wand
Finally...after using several different dish wands and finding them all to leak and then another I tried didn't leak but the button to release the soap was so hard to press i threw them all way. Finding this Scotch-brite wand with an easy-to-use button that dispenses the soap is just what i was looking for. it doesn't leak, the large rubber button is easy to depress and it's comfortable to hold and use. It's also easy to find a variety of refills at any grocery or big box store as well as Amazon. The price has gone up a good bit from my last purchase which was about a year or so ago by a few dollars but since it's hard to find lately, and i love it, I paid the extra amount. it's worth it and hopefully it will last a few years.

Works OK If You Work Around The Flawed Engineering
The "engineer" who designed this wand forgot, or never knew, his hydraulics and pneudraulics from fluid dynamics class. The wand pumps the soap out the discharge hole just great when it is full or mostly full. At about the half-full point, performance starts to decrease. That is because liquids (soap) are largely uncompressible, and the force of pressing on the pump is fully transmitted to the soap in the reservoir and some is forced out the discharge hole. On the other hand, air is very compressible, so when there is a lot of it in the wand, as when the liquid soap level is half or less, pressing the pump simply compresses the air in the wand and very little force is transmitted to the soap in the reservoir and thus little or none goes out the discharge port. The workaround is to never let the soap level go below half, which sort of defeats the purpose of a large reservoir. A Real Engineer

Cleans well.
I never thought that I would like a sponge with a handle that held dish detergent. But after using a similar one at my sister's house I fell in love with it. So I ordered this one from Amazon. To me there are several "best" features: One being the little nubbies on the sponge that easily remove any stuck-on food. Another is the ease of dispensing the soap with just a gentle press on the handle. And the fact that just the right amount is dropped off to get the job done. If when you're finished you place it on its back with the sponge facing up it dries without leaving a mess of soapy water on the counter. Left on its side the water drains off the sponge onto where ever it was placed. I would definitely order it again.
