Nothing to say…best iron ever
Wife writing: I will buy this iron a 1000 times more. Makes ironing super fast and easy, you can get to all the creases and the I between seems and buttons. The sole slide on any fabric easily, without burning or get stuck. The cord has a good size, it will be the ultimate perfect one, if it just have a bigger. Works with starch and leave shirts like dry cleaning. Strams perfect also

I just need to vent! (updated)
I bought this Black and Decker (B/D) iron on Amazon and received it in 2 days (prime). It seemed to work great, but i then found the sprayer didn't work, which is a big deal to me bc most of my clothes are cotton. I went to Amazon to get a replacement, only to find that i had to deal directly with B/D. I didn't know at that time that time was to be suspended. I called B/D (Spectrum Home Appliance?) and Greg was great. Told me i needed to cut the plug of the cord and send them pictures, after which they would send me a replacement and would cover the shipping cost. He told me he'd send me and email with instruction and i should reply to email with the pictures. He noted the email could take up to half hour. Next day, when i hadn't received the email, i called back and Brent was great - he checked and read my email address to me and there was an error, which he would correct - i should expect the email in 5 minutes. About 3 hours later, no email, so i called again and spoke to "any name here". She was great, checked and read my email to me, and there was another error. She corrected it and said i would get the email soon. A few hours later, no email, i went online to B/D's website and filed a warranty request. I mentioned a transaction number i had received from Greg, and included JPEGs showing the plug cut from the iron cord. Next day i got an email from Spectrum thanking me for contacting customer service and stating they have escalated my complaint for further review and have waived the shipping fee. They also said i could mail the plug, or send PDFs of the photos, and upon receipt they would release the replacement. I sent the photos, they acknowledged receipt and said i would receive a tracking number when the replacement is mailed, after which the iron would arrive in 7-14 days. That was 7 days ago, incl. a weekend. Still no iron, and no update... COMPARE: Today i received a motorized computer desk from Flexispot, with a power cord that had severely bent prongs. I straightened the prongs as best i could, just to see if could test that the motors and rest of the desk worked properly; they did. I then called Flexispot and spoke with Geneva, who asked if i could send a photo of the damaged cord. I said i could and she gave me an email address and said she would wait for the photo. I took it and sent it to her, she received it, and within a couple of minutes said the replacement cord would be sent out, that i should receive it in 3-5 days. I've received 2 confirmation emails from Flexispot confirming this matter. SO: i've had good luck with B/D products, but i am disappointed by their glacially slow customer service. First, i thought how wasteful to cut the plug from cord, thus leaving the iron destined for the landfill. i could have given it to a local thrift store and said "compliments of B?D". Second, while the customer service reps were friendly and seemed helpful, three different individuals messed up my email address, which has some same sounding letters, but i recite them with an exemplified word (e.g., C as in Charles (one rep put 2 Cs; P as in Paul - a rep put in a T). and Third - B/D - Spectrum - please get on the clock and send the damn replacement iron! UPDATE: so, it turns out at the time i edited my original review (as time seemingly went on with no progress), Spectrum had shipped the replacement, they just hadn't informed me, though they had said they would let me know when it was shipped and a tracking number was available. a day or two after i edited the review, i emailed them and asked if any progress, and they replied with the tracking number, indicating it was shipped 3 days ago. i received it the next day (the same day i received the above- mentioned power adapter from Flexispot). So, in the end, customer service did a good job getting the replacement iron to me, notwithstanding the hoop jumping and lack of communication. i've updated my review from 1 star to 4 stars, first, bc customer service wasn't as bad as it seemed, and second bc the iron is great. a 5 star iron and 3 star experience dealing with the warranty for a brand new iron. And lesson learned - before ordering on Amazon, check into who you will have to deal with if the product turns out to be defective or you otherwise want to return it. Can't imagine what it would have been like if i just didn't want the iron, but i likely at least would have had to pay to ship it back to B/D.

Encouraging YTD
This is a replacement iron for my expensive Rowenta. So far and I just got it, I love that the cord is longer, it heated up incredibly fast, and it got hot. I like the size and weight. It seems to be lighter and less bulky. I do not put water in my irons so I will not be able to report on that, but I am grateful to have a reasonably priced iron And I hope this one will last.

11 years out of the 1st one, 7 years out of #2!
Update: 12/27/21 Well... it finally needs to be replaced. The steam function is in some kind of overdrive and can't be turned off and I'm sure it will start leaking soon. If I didn't need the steam function, I guarantee this will still work. I'm upgrading back to 5 stars because I paid under $25 bucks and it lasted 7 years. That's not bad! Already ordered the exact same iron before updating this review. 3 photos are after 7 years of use. Update: 8/5/2018 The rarely used spray button popped off. Looking at the button, it seems defective when made. One side of the plastic clamp is thin and flimsy and not symmetrical. It cracked while attached to the iron from the inside and would have given out over time. I found it on the floor and hadn't even noticed it missing on the iron. Now a big hole. It would be nice if B&D sent me a replacement spray button to snap in. Downgrading from 5 to 3 stars. Update: 8/17/2016 This thing still works great over a year and a half later. I use distilled or bottled water in it, very rarely do I use tap water in any iron that I own. I iron the area/garment I need to iron and place the iron in a resting upright position, and I don't use any ironing accessories or gadgets other than the ironing board. I have used Proctor, Rowenta, Sunbeam, and Shark irons. B&D is the best in my opinion which lasts forever and takes a beating. NEVER BUY A NON-STICK IRON... ever ever ever ever! Stainless steel is the way to go, and I wouldn't purchase an iron with any type of digital anything or excessive controls. Original Review: Purchased Jan 26th, 2015 - Had it for 2 months so far and Zero Problems. My last B&D Iron I purchased from Walmart in 2005 lasted 10 years! (it did take a couple of exchanges to get a good one). At year 8, it started leaking occasionally while ironing, but I learned not to leave the iron down too long... and it lasted another two years before the leaking got out of control. Honestly, I wanted to see how long it would last, and wanted to use it until it broke, but I couldn't it take it anymore. I would iron Officer Uniforms 5 days a week non-stop for at least 300 days a year, and I use the Steam button heavily. When the Iron is not on a garment, it is in the upright position. I considered other brands, even consumer reports recommendations. This one was not recommended and I bet it will do just fine.

Useless
The iron stopped working in December 2025 after being purchased in July 2025. It is also supposed to be anti-drip but it drips all the time. Useless! Black & Decker only offered to replace it in a process that will take weeks. However, when you need an iron you need it. So, now I'll buy a new iron after only 5 months. What a waste of money.

This iron is a great choice. If you don’t wanna spend a lot of money on an iron. The steam blast coming out of this thing is incredible. I bought it to replace my old iron that did not have the auto off option. This iron is highly recommended.
