Pros:KMC Hyper Mats, and Perfect Sizes are my go to for double-sleeving my MTG cards. These blue sleeves are no different from the others in terms of quality. Hyper Mats have a matte finish on the back of the sleeve. But a glossy finish on the front that makes the artwork on each card just as enjoyable as if it was being viewed without a sleeve at all. The best part about the matte and the ridged texture on the back of each sleeve is it prevents the stickiness caused by shuffling other sleeves over time. Dragon Shields are known to get this sticky feeling after a few days of playing heavily, and tend to scratch on the front which makes it difficult to enjoy the artwork. KMCs may not be quite as durable as Dragon Shields because you can pull them apart. But in my time using them, I've yet to have a sleeve split on me, and the experience of using these sleeves is a lot better for non-draft competitions. The best part is here on Amazon the combo pack costs less than $10 US. However at my LGS they cost around $18 US together! So buying on here definitely is worth the wait.Cons:A single sleeved 60 card deck usually sits around 2 inches high. But double-sleeving adds another plastic sleeve. Consequentially a newly double-sleeved 60 card deck sits at around 2.5 inches. As you can imagine this makes it difficult to fit your side board into smaller deck boxes. This may bother some people. So make sure you have a deck box that will hold them.Another thing you should know about KMCs is that in the first week or so of using them they will trap some air between the sleeve. So your deck will sit a little higher than normal double sleeved decks. However if you carefully push on your stack of cards with both of your thumbs going downwards towards the bottom of the card once a day this shouldn't last for more than three days.Finally some of your perfect sizes will not fit into your Hyper Mat sleeves. Every time I open a package this usually only happens with about 2 sleeves. There's no perfection in machining, however this is as close as you can get.Either way this sleeve and perfect size combo is well the price.

I'd give these a 4.5 out of 5 if I was able to due to the fact that the KMC Hyper Mat Sleeves BLACK are fantastic and a solid 5 of 5 and I'm quite willing to believe that the issues I've had with the Blue may be a fluke.I'm not sure if I simply got a less than fantastic batch or if the Blue product is inherently more fragile, but I've had half a dozen or more of the Blue split along the seams after just a few games. In comparison, none of the Black have split and I've had them for more time and use them more often. (I got the Blue to differentiate between my Secondary MTG Decks from my Primaries).It is worth noting that I purchase multiple sets of the Blue at the same time and cannot say whether all of the split sleeves were from the same pack or spread out across multiple packs. My only base of comparison is the fact that the Blue are the only sleeves I've had any issue with.Overall, even with the sleeves that have split, I have to say that KMC Hyper Mat Sleeves are the best I've used and I'll continue to buy them... just maybe not the Blue again.

A lot of folks have been down on the KMCs since they've changed formulas. I didn't have any of the old style, but I've been shuffling up with these for a month or so now and haven't had any problems with split sleeves. Maybe I need to shuffle stronger to assert my dominance.I think these are great for the price, although I'd also suggest playing around with the new Ultra Pro Eclipse series- I think I'd rate those slightly higher, with the Dragon Shield Mattes coming in 3rd place.I wish these came in sets of 100 though, makes it awkward/expensive to sleeve up a Commander deck.

However, I like this deal with the Hyper Mat and the KMC perfect size sleeve. For the price of $10 and a great quality sleeves, your trading cards are well protected and is in good protection. The perfect fit sleeves work great for double sleeving MTG cards and the KMC Mat sleeves have always been our go to deck protectors as they are sturdy and easy to shuffle. Haven't had any trouble with them getting stuck together and other players often comment on how nice they feel when doing their shuffling. Have purchased many different types of protectors but haven't found any as good as the KMC's yet.

I only got 99 of the Perfect Size sleeves in my order... this is not a huge deal, because I did have a pack of Ultra Pro Pro-Fit sleeves already to substitute for the missing sleeve. Still, it is mildly frustrating to be missing out on 1 sleeve because the Pro-Fit does not fit as well into the KMC Hyper Matte sleeves.If it was the correct number of sleeves I would give it 5 stars, but I will give it 3 because it was workable and I needed to rely on another brand and quality of sleeve to complete the set.

As good as it gets! KMC is the top tier brand when it comes to sleeves.They are matte so no need to worry too much about fingerprints. They shuffle well and are fairly durable. Price is decent and they should last a good amount of time.The sleeves are great for what I need them to do and I highly recommend them.

Where have these been all my life? These sleeves are heaven sent. Amazing protection and you can still enjoy your holos and reverse holos. Shuffling is also so much smoother. Bye bye ultra pro, hello KMC!
