This was a very steamy medical erotica. Sophie was a real firecracker. Richard was the doctor who used Corrective Treatment, including spankings, canings, enemas and paddling to force her to confess to a trumped up criminal charge. I would have liked this story to be longer and to have Richard been a more developed character. As all the LR books I have read, this one should not be read the in public. This book is by an author whose work I have read previously and always enjoyed. This book was well written and definitely kept my interest from the first page to the end.

Great sex scenes, feisty heroine and dreamy older hero is what this book is all about. Well, that and some Star Trek/Star Wars type of story with a lot of erotic scenes. I liked it!

Though I wished the story was longer, I found it was compelling, sexy, and intriguing reading. I will be reading more from this author. Mmmm....

A great read, but lacking something that would make it 5 star material. Young brat socialite gets railroaded by the courts to be given mind altering treatment. The sexual approach doesn't achieve the objective. Surprise ending though! A bit too rushed in the end - maybe that's expected in a short tale.

A rare gem in this genre: an excellent story. Here we have a typical Dom/Sub in a light SciFi Dystopian environment, not expanded on very much but just enough to sustain the plot, but with thoroughly believable characters who are genuinely sympathetic. Sophie, the sub, though just a bit spoilt enough to justify some mild chastisement, actually shows real spirit and moral courage throughout the story, making her quite likeable as a person. Her predicament and loneliness in her previous life are quite poignantly described so her inner conflict as she is forced to submit to the first man who actually appears to care for her seems more real, though it would have been nice if the story had explored her emotions more as she finally falls in love with him, rather than glossing over that part from the moment they first have sex. Likewise Doctor Richard, the dominant, is properly sensitive and caring and not just a patronising brute. The other characters - the nurses and bailiffs - come across as real people rather than cardboard cut-outs and the humour in places is quite funny. Sophie is, of course, a proper submissive so naturally she responds by dripping with lust as well as defiant sarcasm. The twist at the end is satisfying, though perhaps too predictable.
