Great knife, great price
Knife shipped very fast and was delivered before the estimated date. This is a very high quality knife for the price. Everything about the knife is very solid. The blade has no side to side play when open and locks open very securely. It is not "assisted opening" but it opens extremely easily with a flick of the wrist. Almost makes you wonder why you would ever need a spring assisted open when it is this simple. The handle is a polymer/rubber so you get a good grip. The clip is very solid and doesn't feel like it will bend or flex easily. Very lightweight for EDC.The blade is sharp out of the box, but it could be a little sharper. The finish on the blade is very nice and eliminates any shiny or reflective surfaces. For the price, you could 3 or 4 of these and have backups, place them in different parts of your house, or use them for different tasks. Although, this knife seems so durable that you really don't need more than one. This is my first knife and I honestly don't know why one would spend $100 on a knife that will do the exact same things as this for $11. I'm sure the Benchmade, CRKT, SpyderCo, and Kershaw knives are great but I just can't see a reason to justify spending the extra $$$. AWESOME KNIFE.

Best knife hands down, regardless of price
I must admit that I was a little skeptical about getting such a fantastic knife that the other reviews raved about for such a cheap price, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got it. Everything about it seems perfect. It's well balanced, it has a large grip with a hard rubber like coating that fits your hand perfectly, and the blade deploys smoothing with a quick flick of the wrist. The blade has a quick action lever for your index finger that sticks out the back so you can press it in and flick the blade out with one fluid motion with a satisfying snap of the lock (and thanks to the excellent weight distribution it doesn't take much effort). Absolutely no play in the set screw of the blade or the locking mechanism when it is fully extended, yet lock can be reset with your thumb so it can be deployed and collapsed completely with only one hand. The clip is also another strong point of this knife even though many people overlook it as a feature. It has zero potential to move or loosten up over time because it's fastened to the metal inner body with three Torx screws around the set screw, and it is also long and strong enough to get a good hold on just about anything (even a thick belt or boot) but it's curved shape allows it to be placed and removed without a lot of technique or effort. On a final note I was pleased to find that the blade came with a razor sharp edge and the serrations were also nicely sharpened, unlike other knives I've purchased here in the past. Bottom line is that Smith & Wesson makes incredible knives and they've got me as a customer for life.

Great for long-term use
This knife is great for everyday use and is easy to open with one hand. When they're new it's a bit more difficult to slip it in or out of a pocket, but I've found that after using it regularly the texture on the handle smooths out some more. The size is great for daily use and once it's broken in it's really easy to carry - I don't have any issues with it falling out of pockets. I've been using this knife regularly for the past 10 years - I bought one in 2014, another in 2017, then a couple more now in 2024. After frequent use/abuse for 10 years, the first one finally broke in one spot on the handle a few weeks ago but is otherwise still usable. I bought the others because I like having a spare in case I temporarily misplaced one. I've used it for cutting, scraping, makeshift screwdriver, makeshift hammer, and light prying (it's not intended for these uses but works in a pinch). For the price, it's hard to find a better option.

Adequate EDC folder.
This is part of my EDC, I've had it for a couple of years now. About the right size to hang from my back pocket, and I like the black non-reflective finish. The serrated edge is very sharp and has served me well on several occasions to cut zip ties very fast, and other materials that would be otherwise somewhat hard to cut with a plain edge quickly. The handle has a rubbery finish that is very grippy. My only observation is the steel used: it does take a sharp edge but does not last very long upon use, have to be sharpening it often. But for the price is more than fair and adequate for EDC and the common tasks that a blade can be called upon to perform. I don't take it camping though, not tough enough for that. If not for the soft steel used I would give it five-stars, but I suppose the steel is directly related to the low price.

This knife for its price is an exceptional tool.
The knife arrived very VERY sharp. Sharp enough to shave with (I shaved a small portion of my leg to test)! The opening and closing is very smooth and can be made incredibly smooth yet stiff if you take the belt clip off. But it's not all lollipops and rainbows!!The knife's locking mechanism did NOT lock correctly when opened. This makes an incredibly dangerous situation when in use. A simple method of fixing this issue is moving the locking mechanism towards the opposite way slowly along with opening and closing the knife several times throughout the day. Hopefully this will "break in" the knife. The grip of the knife is perfect for a grown man's hand. I will recommend this knife to anyone looking for a hunting/work tool or a personal defense weapon. I personally use this knife to day to day tasks and personal defense.***If it helps I recommend a manual knife rather than an automatic switchblade due to the durability of a manual knife vs. an auto.****
