NASCAR Heat 4 - PlayStation 4

Awesome game!!

Fun to play

I've only spent less than a week playing this game. The previous NASCAR titles I played before this were NASCAR 08 (EA PS2) and NASCAR Racing 2003 ed (Papyrus PC), so it had been a quite a while since I tried a new racing game. NASCAR Heat 4 in general has way more similarities to the old EA franchise of games than it does to the simulation approach (NR2003) and I am disappointed in that. Even with damage set to full it seems impossible to disable your car. The damage cosmetically looks okay but it is the same damage every time and doesn't structurally change the car like GTA 5 and NR2003 does. Quite frankly, racing in GTA 5 seems much more realistic than this game's racing. The Heat 4 career mode is fun. Building a team and owning a car keeps things interesting. I like how difficulty settings can be fine tuned and customized as you progress. I like how many race length options there are. Paint schemes seem a bit primitive compared to Need For Speed paint options. Certainly only having 3 fonts per number on your custom car is pathetic. Racing games usually leave me with a sore thumb (accelerator button) but the use of R2 on the PS4 controller solves that, I like these default controls. There don't seem to be many options while driving during the race. NR2003 allowed you to plan pit stops on the fly or cycle through gauges / info while you were actively driving, EA's NASCAR series had the INTIMIDATE or SHARE DRAFT buttons that you could use during the race to help build rivalries or friendships. In Heat 4 rivalries and friendships seem more important, but there aren't any buttons to change the driving dynamics during the race, you just have to drive clean or drive dirty. Overall it's fun but I see vast room for improvement.

Out of the package, it didn’t look used. It looked new and the graphic so far look good.

Great Family Game

My husband absolutely loves this game. Hes a race car driver himself so is very critical of raceing games. He said this one has awesome graphics, realistic race cars, and you can do crazy stunts with your race car, like donutnuts at the end of the race if you win!! Thumbs up!👍

Car set-up too complicated just too many setups spend all day trying them before you even do a race better off just using the ones that are set for you

I don't play video games myself but my husband and son both enjoy this game a lot. You get "feedback" from other drivers and different types of tracks to drive on (tar, dirt, etc.) You can also get a fan following. :)
