Beautiful engraved pocket watch.
This is a beautifully engraved and finished pocket watch. The chain is long enough to drape on a waistcoat or to clip to trousers for use in the watch pocket (jeans and some trousers have a small pocket on the right side inside the main pocket for this purpose,) and the chain is long enough to bring the watch up so you can clearly read the time. The face is nicely appointed with a good quality glass front showing roman numerals and the inner workings. The back of the watch is also engraved delicately around the glass window also showing interior workings. The top mounted catch release to open the watch is positive and the watch case locks shut solidly and with minimal pressure. The top mounted winder is easy to use and mounted well onto the shaft with no rattle or play. Really nice workmanship and some careful thought has gone into the manufacture and decoration of this gorgeous time-piece.This was bought as a gift for my son, and he absolutely loves it as it matches nicely with his suit, blending with the suit rather than making an ostentatious statement with overly shiny bling. We haven't had the watch long enough to judge how well it keeps time but it hasn't lost any so far. One thing that I personally liked about this watch is that it is a hand wound watch, not battery powered. So while you do need to remember to wind it (and not over-wind it) you don't get all the associated hassle that comes with batteries. This makes for a very nice, traditional gift.Delivery of this item was quick, and the watch came in an attractive presentation box with a small microfibre cloth for cleaning and an instruction leaflet.

Lovely but needs a glass face not cheap plastic.
Really nice and unusual. The plastic face cover does make it sound really cheap, if it were glass it would be so much better or not such cheap plastic. I know in the write up it says plastic but I wasn’t expecting it to be so cheap sounding .

A wonderful gift
I'm very happy with this pocket watch as I've always been interested in little pocket watches that look nice, I must say, this does look as good in person as it does on the website. It comes in a nice little gift box and is stored quite nicely, I do like the open cog design of it and it's quite interesting to look at. It's not made of plastic, only metal and glass which does feel nice. Overall I quite like this watch and would recommend it as a gift.

Good price
I have a collection of old pocket watches that my grandson takes an interest in so I bought this for him as it's mechanical and he can see the workings.

Great looking pocket watch.
The watch works great and looks great. Fabulous watch for the price. And as I only really need the watch for one day, can’t go wrong with this.Though hopefully I can wear it again as it looks so good.

Fails to wind up after 4 months sadly. No longer working
I bought this in October 2017, it looks lovely and has up until now kept time well, needing a daily wind up. I use it for work Monday to Friday and do not wind it up over the weekends. As of last week the spring fails to wind up more than two twists, which means it keeps time for a few hours only. The catching mechanism for the spring does not seem to work and I can see clearly that the coil spring isn't tightening.I've taken very good care of this watch, it's never been dropped or wound the incorrect direction. It's a bargain price, but I expected it to last much, much longer.EDIT 08/03/2018: Unfortunately this watch fails to wind up at all now. I emailed the ManCHDa 5 days ago but have not heard back from them as of yet. I consider this pretty poor service.Final edit. After 2 weeks with a watch maker they have confirmed that a completely new winding mechanism is needed and have quoted £45 plus vat. Needless to say, won't be fixing it. Shame
