I looked through what felt like hundreds of bread knives, which is the blessing and curse of the internet. I spent way too much time "researching" something as simple as a bread knife. This by Brabantia was actually one of the first I came across, but I kept looking and in the end went back to it.The handle is ultra light and the blade straight out of the packaging is incredibly sharp, to the point where I actually put a small nick in my finger through careless positioning. It went through even the stalest, crusty bread like butter, and it made me wonder why I didn't get one sooner.The sharpness has naturally dulled through use, even though I solely use it for bread and nothing else, but it still is great, and even those pillowy, day old farmhouse loaves which just get squashed if you use a normal knife quake under the Brabantia's gaze.

Very good quality for the price. Easily cuts through bread even when still a bit frozen.

Tiny bit bendy and thin (that's how we like 'em !). Really sharp and works on artisan bread (if you're rich enough and or pretentious enough to buy it). Great value .

This knife even cuts sourdough easily. Very sharp so be careful. Pity it doesn’t come with a blade cover but that would increase the price I guess . I would certainly recommendGood price for a quality brand..
