A Simple, Innocent Love Story
My Love Story continues to be one of the sweetest and most innocent manga I have ever read. While there are a few bits of mildly cheeky humor, the tone over all is light and playful, with healthy doses of humor and heart. It also lacks the more uncomfortable, forceful elements that can come with shojo romances, and it is nice to see a love story where the central couple respects each other. There is no over the top dramatics, or any real trace of sex. Instead the story focuses on a group of people being there for each other, and a lesson that you can never judge someone just by their appearance. This is helped along by some very strong characters who come to life on the page thanks to some hilarious and expressive art. The story develops nicely, with the characters' bonds becoming even more clear, but it does this without resorting to unneeded melodrama, or tried and true shojo tropes. When something serious happens, it is not all sobs and screams. It's about people coming together to help each other, and care for each other. These characters honestly care for each other, and their bonds are the strength that holds My Love Story up, and helps it find its place in the crowded shojo market.Seriously, if you are looking for something that is wholesome, sweet, funny and at the same time not afraid to occasionally pull at your heart strings, check out My Love Story. In a sea of tortured romances, sexual trysts and over the top fan service My Love Story is an innocent breath of fresh air that manages to be entertaining the entire time. I know I sound like a prude, and I swear I'm not. There is a time and place for more realistic, or dramatically intense stories, but there is also a time to just sit back and enjoy something that aims to just put a smile on your face, and make you feel a little warmer on the inside. As an added bonus there are recipes between chapters for the many different treats that show up in the story.

Awesome Manga Seller
Item was exactly as described, packaged with care, and delivered quickly! It was like brand new, and I love that my volume was wrapped in plastic to protect it from the elements. I would definitely recommend shopping from this seller and from their website. Excellent service, nothing but a 5 Star rating for them!

Extremely adorable
I love this manga I've been wanting to watch the anime but I'm happy I chose to read it instead, its incredibly light hearted and completely innocent you can nearly feel their blushing encroaching onto your own face. Wonderful read if you want some fluff to make your day.

So, so good
~4/5This series continues to be adorable and heartwarming. It again proves why the first volume caught me so well. There’s some more bro-mance between Takeo and Sunakawa. I am still impressed by how good of friends they are to each other. Then there’s some minor drama between Takeo and Yamato. I do like that the drama isn't overdone, it’s not long-lasting or made a huge deal of. It’s subtle and sweet, even. Something happens to worry one of them, but they don’t simmer on it forever, and they’re still very close. The chapter with Yamato’s friends is a good example. Yamato loves Takeo, she loves that he’s big like a bear, and she doesn’t see him as even slightly scary. She talks him up at the first chance, and doesn’t really understand how other people don’t see him like she does. It causes some upset when her friends don’t see what she does, but Takeo shows them what’s so great about him. It’s adorable, how much she likes him, and how genuinely, innocently happy the two are together. And it’s sweet that they just want everyone, especially Sunakawa, to be as happy as they are. There's also a chapter where something bad is going on in Sunakawa's life, but he doesn't say anything, and it puts Takeo in a bad spot, not wanting to overwhelm but still wanting to be there. I liked how it wrapped up.I could just go on and on about this series, so I’m going to stop now. This series just makes me happy with how sweet it is, and I am really excited for the next volume.A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, and Erik Jansen from MediaLab PR. Thank you so, so much![More of my reviews are available on my blog, Geeky Reading, to which there's a link on my profile.]
