Great addition to my fishing gear. This is a easy to use device that removes all the aggravation when I re-line my reels alone I've had the spoolers that fit on the pole and of course the pen or pencil through the spool held with my feet and none of those methods worked very well. This spooler is so easy to use and makes the job so fast I can re-line all my reels in a hour or less the suction cup attaches well to a smooth flat surface and set up is as easy as sliding the spool of line onto the rod the tension spring and wing nut make it possible to adjust the tightness of the line on the reel which is important to me and the other guys I've talked to. This spooler is compact and fits into my backpack I use to carry my essential gear when I'm going to be away from home a day or longer the materials and workmanship of this are both very good I've used it a half dozen times or more and it works just as well now as it did the day I received it I don't see any reason this won't last for years even using it to re-line the whole families reels which is a dozen reels a year or more. The quality and convenience of this spooler make it a great value and money well spent.

Keeping in mind that this is a cheap buy, it works fairly well. However, it is pretty picky on how you use it. Glass is the only surface that can really hold it, if you try it on anything else, be ready to catch. The tension has to be just right; too tight and it will pull it off regardless of what surface it’s on, or too loose and it won’t spool correctly. Also, it seems to turn better in one direction than the other, i assume it depends on how the springs are put on. You also have to reel at a consistent speed for it to start turning smoothly. With all that being said, once you figure out a good spot to stick it, and get it going, it actually works quite well for the price.

I just wanted the hardware and bent shaft, probably coulda made the shaft myself but hey this was 9$ and it comes anyways...I was fully aware the suction cup is most likely useless unless except on clean glass...Cheap price and I just spooled up a reel with it and it worked perfectly with my setup, it’s basically screwed in a hole in my work bench, pretty simple...then I have a rig that holds a reel spool on my screw gun...I can do spinning and baitcasting reels.No more line twist, no more loosely spooled reels, and no more burnt fingers... my DIY nuts/bolts/washer setup wouldn’t work properly, the springs and and cones on these things are very important parts of getting it to work correctly...Very satisfied.

I have had this for a month or so and decided to leave a review.So far i have re-lined about 7 reels with mono and braid, this unitworks well if placed on "right surface" anything that is is not perfectlysmooth will not hold suction thru use..I put mine on a small painted tool boxand it holds until i release it..so if you want something better than a dowel thru ashoe box that you can adjust some tension on this is cheap and works just fine.note will hold 300m spools but tight fit.BrentG

I thought I had found a cheap easy fix to re-lining my poles. I was kind of correct. It was cheap and performs like it. If you have the patience of a Saint, this will work, or it might not. I would not buy one again. Maybe a glass top table and it would be better.

I cant understand the 1 star reviews. Works exactly as it is supposed to. I loaded two Penn reels with 165 yrds of 30 lb braided spider wire in less then 5 minutes. Easy to set perfect tension. Best product under $10.00 ever. If you change your line every season well worth the investment.

Perfect for respooling my spinning reels with no issue by myself and without an extra hand. I like the fact that it fits small to extra large spools and at the same time keeping tension on the line without back lashing or twisting my monafilment lines.

This thing was such a pain to use... It just kept tangling the line up around everything. It took my Husband reeling while I held this to keep and eye on the line.
