Love this speaker.
I have two of these speakers. I coach a small synchronized swimming team in Jamaica WI. I bought my first speaker about 8 years ago. It worked good. Especially in out small pool. For the big public pool you might need two. 4 years ago I thought that my first speaker is being heavily used for 4 years and it's time to buy a new one just in case. So.... 4 years later I'm still using #1 every day at our pool and #2 is traveling with us wherever we have events out of town. I am very happy with both of them.

Almost complete - needs an enclosure, enclosure adapter, resistor and fuse
This gets the job done. The speaker is too big for a standard spa enclosure and too small for a standard pool enclosure. According to the instructions, you have to find some material and adapt it into the standard pool enclosure. So it does fit "in" but not the way that it needs to.You also need a fuse and resistor on the amp end of the line per the drawing in their instructions. They chose rather obscure parts to do this, IMHO, but a slow-blow fuse is a good recommendation.

This little guy really works !!!
This speaker is water PROOF, not water RESISTANT ! Big difference !You can hear it above the surface also, but it is slightly muffled. Our pool is 14 by 35 and it easily covers the whole pool.Believe it or not, we just hang it over the edge using the length of an untwisted wire coat hanger. We had no place to permanently mount it and we remove it when not being used because of the electric pool cover. We power it with an old Realistic Amp with a phone plugged into it. It really puts out the sound under water.Gary

Nice for a new pool maybe but not for existing ones.
It is well built but unless you are building a new pool, I don't recommend it. Even on a new pool you still have to get a fused and resistor based parts from an unknown source. To mount it in an existing pool you would need to substitute it for one of your lights or buy a 3rd party wet sink parts and then I guess cut a large hole in the pool wall. There is not way to just flush mount it in an exiting pool. Plus you would need two if you wanted stereo.

Great speaker
This speaker worked very well in my pool. Make sure it is facing into the pool and is about 3-4 feet below the surface for the best carry throughout the length of the pool.
