Clarinet for beginners
I’ve always wanted a clarinet since I was a child. Got this, looks the part and comes in a handy case. Thought I’d be playing Christmas carols within a few weeks of getting it. Boy was I wrong. It’s hard to get a note but it’s all about practice practice practice. Determined to get there

Fantastic value for money! Plays much better than some dearer clarinets.
I've been playing clarinet for around 12 years and decided to treat myself to a cheap and cheerful new one and I can honestly say this is just as good as my very expensive Yamaha clarinet. I replaced the reed with my usual vandorren one and the tone is lovely, both in lower and higher register. It plays easily with no 'clunky'or 'sticky' keys, a problem I have encountered with other makes. It came with everything you need to get started. Extremely good value

Great value especially for a beginner but needs a 50 mm barrel for tuning
First impressions, as a beginner, are very good. I am really impressed by the build quality of this instrument and the sound it makes... After two months still happy but found it was playing a semitone flat ie B flat was coming out as an A (despite using the shorter of the two barrels provided). And yes I do know that it is a transposing instrument. I am using a phone app tuner to test it. As a beginner I am using a 1.5 reed. Reading around on Google I found that the only way to get an instrument to play sharper ie higher, is to get a shorter barrel. I decided to experiment and bought a cheap 50 mm Alnicov barrel from Amazon for about £10 and it is now beautifully in tune. (The shorter barrel provided by Eastar is 61 mm I think which is a standard size.) If you are playing on your own then it doesn't matter too much but if you want to play with others then it does matter. Maybe as my technique improves ie embouchure, I might need to return to the longer barrel ???

My first clarinet I love it!
It's easy to assemble. I watched a lot of videos to practice playing my clarinet. Hard to get the sound out at first but don't give up! You will definitely love it! I can play a few easy songs now!

Nice and simple to use
It’s nice and simple to use however it’s very he’d to get the low notes out or a B. I tried my friends clarinet which is much higher quality and it was way easier. Still very good value for money
